Buy Pollock by Emmerling, Leonhard (ISBN: 9783836529075) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: A good informative book that looks good too! - A perfect addition to my bookcase! Quality and value is good too!! Review: Great starting point & good value for money - Like many of the Taschen series this is a great introduction to the artist. The book gives a good insight to Pollock and shows how he developed from producing more conventional paintings to his move to his more well known action paintings. The book has some excellent reproductions of many of his famous paintings such as Summertime, One: Number 31, Number 1; 1952 and Autumn Rhythm. Of course for a small book not every painting is reproduced including some of my favourites such as Number 1A; 1948 and Number 23; 1949. And while Pollock's most expensive painting No. 5; 1948 [which famously featured in the film Ex-Machina] is featured it is reproduced very small making it difficult to fully appreciate the detail. Nonetheless the Taschen books do provide a good start for anyone interested in a particular artist. I have several on my bookshelves and have also bought them as much appreciated gifts for my niece who has a developing interest in fine art.

This is defo Pollocks not Bollocks.
This is a great cheap book on Pollock that you fell bad for paying so little. full of nice colour pictures which are really intense and bright. An enjoyable read, no surprising in terms of the work shown but all the ones you could ever hope to see are here. Like most entry level books little coverage of the Black Paintings or works on paper but for under. Hundred pages they have filled the well.

Thinner volume than I expected. Ratio of images to narrative just right. Beautiful pictures. This is just one artist of a larger set.

This is a GREAT overview of Pollock's work and timeline. It is a part of an excellent series of books which I am slowly building my collection. I have been learning tons and like having a quick reference within my reach. I am a huge Pollock fan - so this is good one for my collection.
