Have nothing to measure inside diameter. The opening is approx 1/2in wide. I can insert my little finger (tip) approx 3/4in.

are these dishwasher safe?

Yes, dishwashers also have a sanitizing cycle. But, I'd be careful of the chemicals in your dishwasher's soap. I'd boil mine, then put in oven...standing upright on lowest temp to completely dry😊

Yes. To sanitize...boil the jars, without lids. Then put in oven on lowest temp...standing upright, until dry. 😊
