Top quality small pan for small, but not minute quantities.
This is a really high quality small pan. It has some weight to it and sits firmly on a very small induction hob. I have paired it with a Judge steamer lid which increases its versatility. I have tested it for boiling both milk and water for a single cup of coffee and it is faster than an 800w microwave. I have also used it to make fish stock from langoustine shells and it performed extremely well, keeping on simmer ro around 30minutes. For small quantities it is an excellent piece of equipment, ideal for single or double portions and also a small kitchen. It is ideal for boiling eggs and has useful measurement marks inside. It comes with a lifetime guarantee and in my opinion, is well worth the cost. Delivery was amazing-it arrived within 12 hours of ordering! Naturally, it needs to be treated with care, as for all stainless steel cooking utensils.

A top quality, high performance pan! - After 5yrs I'm ordering another, so we have 2!
I really don't know why there are ANY negative reviews of this pan. They've obviously mistreated it. Our original was purchased about 5 years ago and I can't fault it. The handle is solid (not tubular bent metal) and riveted, not spot-welded, ergonomic and thus comfortable to hold. Both the outside AND inside has stayed beautifully shiny. If one lets it boil dry, or overheats any oil, then of course it's going to discolour. If you use metal utensils or knives, and especially scouring pads, then of course you'll scratch the surface. Don't abuse it and it'll last for years! A tip: to 500ml washing detergent liquid, if you add 2 tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and 2 tablespoons of 'table salt' (I wouldn't waste nice sea salt or Himalayan salt, which we use for all out food) as it's cheap and you don't want to ingest it for health reasons. Then each time to wash up, give the container a good shake to thoroughly mix, and then pour as usual. It real foams up well, but above all, makes all stainless gleam!

For Aga and induction hob
We can no longer afford to run an oil fired Aga for 12//12 and have been trying to get by with a 13amp worktop located 2 hotplate/ small oven cooker for the last year....many problems with this such as not being able to use the 'hob' and oven concurrently. So we recently bought a 'proper' mains cooker with an induction hob, and then these pans to complement it as many of of the Aga pans wouldn't 'work' on the new hob. The image that accompanies this set is obviously inaccurate - apart from the 'stockpot' there are 3 metal lidded saucepans and a small double lipped milk pan. There are simiar sets available costing a little less but they all seem to have glass lids, and since, when we do use the Aga, we finish cooking food in lidded saucepans in the 'baking oven' we felt safer sticking to ones with metal lids. The 4 smaller pans have very sturdy handles and are graduated inside with litre and pint markings. The lids are also made from a substantial guage of steel, so the pans with lids are obviously heavier than similar sized ones in an aluminium alloy and a thinner base. Being unfamiliar with induction hobs we were surprised to find that the heating times for a pan of water for example are surprisingly quick - I don't know how significant a factor the construction of the saucepan base is in this. I haven't mentioned the appearance of the set - they are nice and shiny - I don't much care about this as they are principally functional rather than decorative; the stock pot is the only one likely to be used at the table. To summarize: work well on an induction hob, feel they can be safely used in an oven, useful range of sizes, less expensive alternatives with glass lids available. My wife and I are very happy with this purchase.

Nice quality
I bought this milk pan for my new induction hob. I make gravy and sauces regularly when I cook vegan, and don’t like dirtying a big pan for a little gravy. I had been looking at Stellar online, and wanted to try before I buy a set. I am very pleased with the look and weight of the milk pan, and the two pouring lips. Induction cooking seems very clean, as the pans stay clean on the outside. I feel like the Stellar looks like excellent quality, and will last a long time The milk pan is very shiny and looks expensive in my opinion. . I think that it’s best to cook without the nonstick coating, which is simply not healthy. It is not difficult to clean if you follow manufacturer’s guidance in heating and use of oils. I will be buying a whole set of stainless steel Stellar pans soon.
