I frequently feel the need to chew on things, and gum gets expensive in those quantities. This little tool is able to scratch the chew itch enough, but only with the hard plastic tools. The softer silicone ones don't transmit the vibrations very well. All that aside, this is very cleverly made. I like the locking mechanisms on the battery compartment and tool inserts that would keep kids from accidentally dismantling it. The instructions that were included seemed to do a great job going through all the different tips and what each one was best for and suggestions on how to use it. It's louder than it is vibratey, but even on its highest setting, it's not that bad.
