Overstimulated Narcoleptic Isn't Raging Out at an Overhead Fan Anymore
I'm narcoleptic and have a lot of comorbidities that align with ADHD. I am overstimulated primarily by noise - even concerts aren't enjoyable to me unless I know exactly what songs are coming or am very familiar with the voice of whomever is singing. There's a huge vent fan at the clinic I work at (so we don't all breathe in anesthetic gas and pass out, whoops) that just drones all day. Sometimes it doesn't bother me, but as soon as everything gets loud - dogs barking, people talking loudly and laughing - or I get stressed out, the noise of the fan overstimulates me. I've had outbursts and have even cried because of the dang thing. I found out about the Loops on a Youtube Short by and ADHD channel, and I had to try them. I chose the Engage one so I can use them at work without having actual headphones in. - No one noticed these in my ears unless they were standing over my shoulder and my hair was up. - I can hear people talking directly to me, albeit a bit muffled. But their voice is clear and I don't raise my voice thinking they can't hear me. - I can hear noises around me very muffled. I'm still aware of people talking nearby but unless I focus on it I don't really notice it. This is vital for my job because I need to be able to hear if a client is complaining at the front desk (my station is about 15 feet from the lobby), talk on the phone to cliients, and listen to nearby animals (i.e. the sound of a dog reactive dog growling and barking). There are a lot of options for the earbud tips that I'm still fiddling with. If I put in one a little too large it creates a suction in my ear that is mildly uncomfortable and I actually worried that if I didn't pull it out just right I might bust my ear drum. I had the silencer piece (or whatever it's called) in, which I think was part of it. When I have the Medium thinner earbud tips in with the silenver, it doesn't feel that way and still drowns out a lot of noise, so it's just about making sure I fit them properly. I'm hoping the irridescent onces come back, and I'm probably going to get the other types eventually so that I can have a variety for different situations.

These take the edge off and are SUPER comfy
I'm sensory sensitive. Household noise when people are home bothers me when I'm trying to work. When not working, I also get overloaded easily by the loudness of my child. Truly, I started getting desperate. Problem with other ear plugs is that I'm also tactile sensitive -- foam earplugs really fatigue my ears! And I can't deal with the occlusion of hearing myself swallow. These are the best I've found. I absolutely love the little loop for ease of putting in my ears. Unlike every other kind (foam and Calmer) these sit securely and have never once fallen out. I can still get a little fatigue, but not as bad as foam. How's the sound? Well, it just dampens the noise a little. Enough to keep me from over reacting, but the level of occlusion is bearable. I don't use the Plus inserts very often but glad to have options. Overall 5-stars. The only bad thing I'll say is that the case they came in is trash. It's annoyingly TOO SMALL. In order to fit the Loops and the loose Plus inserts, you have to very carefully arrange them just so. Trying to do that while holding the tiny case and not flipping the pieces out on the floor is too tedious. Plus, the clasp on the case broke something like 8 weeks later with extremely GENTLE use. I emailed them about the warranty for a replacement case, but then cancelled my request. Easier to buy a pill box here on Amazon for $5 rather than wait a long time and still have that inferior case again. Do yourself a favor and just buy a case now and enjoy your Loops without worrying you'll lose them.

Good with proper expectations
I have moderate noise sensitivity; crowded, noisy places can overwhelm and stress me out, and sharp, sudden sounds make my anxiety spike. I thought these might be worth a try for the above, and also for some better focus during work. After using them for a while, I do recommend them, with some caveats. The first thing I want to call out is that you need to have reasonable expectations with these. I saw a lot of reviews complaining that these don't shut out all noise and don't completely isolate you, which is frankly not a reasonable thing to expect from these. They only have a noise reduction of 10 decibles; I sleep with foam earplugs that have a reduction of 33, and even with those you can still hear people talking if they're nearby and other noises. Short of some very expensive, high tech headphones, you are never going to get complete and total silence and isolation. What I found was that, without inserting the optional additional dampening plugs, this muffles some sounds and softens others. It's a lot easier to simply tune things out around you because these noises don't compete with your focus as much wearing these. For me, it helped to keep me from feeling like I was being overcrowded and loud, sudden sounds didn't have the same negative impact for me. I have a friend who is a very soft talker and I was still able to hear her easily, but it is something you will need to focus on; because it's so easy to tune things out, it's easier not to notice someone is trying to talk to you. I didn't have any issue not being able to clearly hear what they were saying. The added 5 decible dampening plugs included basically amplify all the above; they might be a bit much if you're at an office or trying to hang out with friends, but they also won't completely isolate you either. You will have to get used to modulating your volume if you aren't used to wearing earplugs, because this does dampen your own voice to your ears slightly. If you've worn simple foam earplugs, you'll also be familiar with the way these amplify certain sounds of your own, like chewing and swallowing; if you dislike that, these may not be for you. I didn't have an issue wearing these for hours at a time, but your mileage may vary and these are a lot of different plug sizes included in here for you to try out. The case, as people have said, is terrible and flimsy. It's the sort of thin, hard plastic that you could easily crack just by making a tight fist around it, and the latch isn't secure. I keep mine in my purse, in a second pouch I use to keep other little things together, so at least if the container opens the plugs aren't going far. I think these do what they do well. Don't expect miracles, and DO expect to need to be more aware of your surroundings. I think they're expensive for what they are and the material they're made out of, BUT I also think they work far better and are also more comfortable than alternatives I have tried, like Flare Audio Calmer, and the Eargasm High Fidelity models (although that latter might be better for specifically loud concerts). All in all, I think these are worth a try if you go into them in the right frame of mind.

Comfortable way to be easy on your ears as you sleep or at live music shows
I still live on a night shift schedule even though I'm retired, and my wife uses our bedroom as her office during the day, so using earplugs is a requirement for domestic tranquility. I like that it's very comfortable, easy to clean, and doesn't fall out of your ears if you size the (multiple sizes included) plug attachments correctly. It doesn't kill noise...it deadens it considerably. If my wife is right next to me and talking to me, I might be able to hear what she's saying, but I can tune it out if I want (don't tell her). I've used this daily since purchase and I really like it. Do be aware that if you use a smaller plug cover and it slides out of your ear, your cats may want to play with them. I did have one attachment damaged by this, but my wife has the same set so I just used her spare. My wife had bought a set before me, and uses it when we go to see live music. She says it takes the edge off the music but if anything it takes out a lot of the incidental noise so the music experience is enhanced (used during shows like Dirty Fences/The Chats...so it was loud). I really recommend this as I use it as I said, daily, and it works great for deadening sound, but doesn't take it all away.

If the occlusion effect is too loud, try a smaller size!!!
First I'll tell you about the issue with my ear that I was trying to fix so if anyone like me is out there, maybe this would be helpful? Years ago I got concussion where I was hit on the left side of my head with a ball. As a result of inner ear trauma, I have almost half hearing loss in my left ear and sounds are distorted, sharp, and almost painful at times. I have been looking for a solution to block out the harsher loud sounds that hurt. But don't want to block out all sound if possible because I'm already hard of hearing. I tried various other solutions in the past but nothing helped. This was just another thing for me to try. I got them, tried on various sizes of both the silicone and foam parts. Ultimately really liked the M silicone piece as it seemed the most comfortable. However, I could hear myself talking SO SO SO LOUD. It drove me nuts. Then I tried the M foam piece. My talking was still very loud but it was better so I rocked that for a while. Buuuut the foam made my ear feel itchy. Just as I was thinking of returning these, I tried the S silicone piece. I cannot hear myself talking any louder then regular! It doesn't block out as much sound as the M, probably because its technically too small of a size. BUT it blocks out enough sound to seriously increase my quality of life! I also really like having the mute piece for the days my ear is extra sensitive. Thank you loop.

Product works great, not so much with the case.
Excellent for if you want to just hear what is important; voices, music, loud movies. Still working with getting fitment perfect in my ears but even then they do an excellent job. Fitment in the case is very different and specific issue however. The buds have a natural tenancy to lay with the loops flat when just tossed in the case. The case WILL NOT CLOSE PROPERLY this way, it will close but put alot of strain on the clip. Instead you have to put them in kinda on their side at about a 45 degree angle with one loop and the other bud end facing each other. (Think a ying yang symbol.) Unfortunately I figured this out right as the clip that keeps it closed broke. The second thing that I think makes the case really hurt the product is the lack of storage for the inserts. There is some well thought out packaging for the whole kit but the loops have to either have the inserts installed in them, left at home, or stored elsewhere due to the size of the case which really hurts the usability of the loops for selectively sound sensitive people. Sometimes I don't need the loops at all, and most of the time I do I don't need the inserts but to have to remove them every time I don't need them and leave them loose in the case or leave them at home is not working for my intention. It's a hard ding on what is otherwise a great product for such an easily remedied problem of a slightly bigger case.

RELIEF!!!
If you have misphonia like me, you are going to LOVE these! They help reduce the sharpness of sounds, making other people's music, television and podcasts on higher volumes than you can handle, tolerable. I can actually be on a road trip with my husband and let him listen to his podcasts and music while he drives. What a relief for both of us! You can still hear others comfortably, but there is something in your ear so it is not the perfect solution like having nothing in your ear. However, it works so well in allowing you to be with others without having the usual anger and violent emotional reactions no one around you ever understands, that the very slight bit of feeling like you have something in your ears is sooooooooo worth it! They come with different sizes of the rubber ear inserts, so you can find the perfect fit for you. Also be sure to purchase the Loop brand cord to keep these safely around your neck. The cord has little magnets that connect to create a loop (no pun intended!). 😂 I highly recommend these if you have sound sensitivity.

Enhancing your enjoyment and conversations
Wow, these work! I bought these after I found I was struggling to focus on a conversation I was having with freinds and family whilst there was very loud music in the back ground. The problem was particularly bad when I was a venue like a wedding or a festival where you had live band or a DJ playing a set. A friend suggested I try these and I now swear by them. I recently tested them whilst I was entertaining customers at the Munich Oktoberfest. I was able to enjoy the music, have a clear conversation with a customer and finish the end of the night without any annoying tinnitus or white noise buzzing in my ear. It was amazing. They sound wasn't muffled in anyway, it was simply a more comfortable background volume and yet I was able to focus on conversations with everyone. I ended up recommending these to others who had a similar issue to what I had experienced and they have since bought these earplugs. The ear plugs are easy to fit in your ear and come with a wide size range of ear sponges to fit your ear canal. I had bought the loop neck lace separately but found I didn't need them in the end. They are stylish and most people won't notice you are wearing them. Whether you want to enjoy live music, or if you're at loud events where you need to talk with people, I highly recommend these ear plugs. They will help protect your hearing and still allow you to enjoy and engage with the experience.

Reduce noise
Initially I thought they would be more comfy like my AirPods and that will reduce sound more. After trying them one time in a crowded area, I LOVED THEM. I could finally concentrate and not feel overwhelmed by people. I cannot wait I to try them at another crowded areas.

Perfect for keeping out the noise
Absolutely love these loops, they are really good at keeping out background noise but still leave me able to carry out a conversation as well, even on a Teams call. Love that you can also mute them further as well with the extra section to add to them. Sit really comfortably in my ears I actually forget I have them in. Wish I had got a pair a long time ago.
