Another quality Whiteside product
Used this in my table router to replace the cheap one that came with it. Tried another brand first but it didn't run true so all my bits wobbled. This adapter runs true and fits perfectly and took all thewobble out of my smaller bits.

iI am a Hobbist DIY
Use on home grown CNC Router. I have a 2hp router that has 1/2" collect, that I use the adapter and 1/4" bits in 90% of the time. When I need to use a 1/2" bit I remove the adapter. Works great appears to be very well made. I have used it for over 7 months so far at least 4-5 hours a day 5-6 days a week and no problem. I bought two when I ordered them and the 2nd one is collecting dust in my Bit Drawer. Would recommend to anyone needing one and IF i ever need to buy another I know where to go. I have used Whiteside router bits for years and have never had any issues with their bits. Their reputation and my experience with their products is why I tried their adapter. So Glad I did.

Quality Spindle Adapter For Your Router or Shaper
High quality router bits adapter. I use this collet to adapt 1/4" router bits to my Spindle Shaper when using the 1/2" collet spindle supplier with the Shop Fox Shaper. Precise, inserts and removes easily compared to other bargain adapters and no perceptible runout.

Great People to Deal With If Your Part Didn't Work and a Refund is Needed
Based on another review from someone who purchased this for their Delta Shaper, I thought I'd give it this try. Let me say that the product looks and feels like it was made in the USA. Unfortunately, it would not grab my router bits strongly enough without slippage. My shaper will bite good into a 1/2" bit but it may be the Delta collet that prevents this from working in my machine which is a Delta 43-505 T1. Please keep in mind there is also a T2 and a TA shaper in the 43-505 series but it did not work well with mine. When I returned it, I was amazed at the quickness with which a refund was issued for which I have to say Thank You! The four star rating was for the service from Anchor Fasteners. Good people to do business with.

Thank Goodness i found this!!
I had some wood working to do but the only dovetail bit i could find was 1/4" shaft but i have 1/2'' router. Did some searching on internet and several forums suggested this. I ordered it and it worked perfectly! Fit right in my router and the dovetail bit fit right in this. Tighten it down and got all dovetails cut for my drawers with no issues from this adapter!

Bought as a replacement for RIDGID R22002.
Fits. And the collet is longer than the original, thus creating a better overall fit. Good quality.

Muscle chuck
This works in a muscle chuck type 1 for porter cable routers. It holds 1/4” bits tightly

Where is my collett?
Loaned my new Kobalt 12 amp router with router table to a friend soon after buying the router table on Black Friday sale. My friend assembled the table. Left the router with him until months later when I had room for it and wantd to try my first router project, edging on bookslelf. Nether one of us could find the missing 1/4" collett. Called Kobalt customer service to order a replacement. Twice reached a recording saying that they were very busy with limited staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to call some other time. On 3rd call entered a long queue with numerous recordings saying that they were busy and to keep waiting. Call was laater disconnected. Went straight to Amazon and found Whiteside Router Bits 6400 Steel Router Collet with 1/4-Inch Inside Diameter and 1/2-Inch Outside Diameter. Exactly what I needed for replacing the one in the Kobalt router. Ordered immediately. Order confirmtion showed 3 day delivery. The collett arrived 1 day early! Immeiately installed in the Kobalt fouter with a perfect fit in the 1/2" collett nut. A very well manufactured product. I was off and "running" with my first router project thanks to the fast delivery. Lesson learned: always make sure that the collett is tight in the collett nut before ending a project so it sill will be there for the next project.
