I have had these for years and just order another one for another door at my home. They work great and it nice to have some extra safety. The metal is very strong and the pole is adjustable to fit a multiple of doors.

The security bar is easy to assemble and is lightweight but seems strong enough. It doesn't keep my door as tightly closed as I would like, though so far my own test efforts have failed to dislodge it by going outside and pushing against the door. The bar might be more securely held were the floor to be wood or tile, but this room is carpeted. I find it tends to wobble just a bit once put in place and grasped as a test. Other buyers might have different findings.
