The handles are quite thin but it’s not a deal breaker because they flare out where it makes contact with your hands. I would rather have these than some fiscars, and these are probably the cheapest high functioning hand forged scissors you’ll ever find despite the shortcomings. The finish is not very good. I bought two pairs and the appearance of each is slightly different, because the blades cross over with different overlaps. However, they both work well.
