Overall the quality of the Indonesian made instruments knock it out of the park.
This guitar was everything that I was hoping for. Its lightweight, but has excellent sustain. I lucked out on this one, the neck on this, like the neck on my maple necked affinity strat are two of the nicest finished necks as far as frets go, even out doing some of the Fender Mexican Player strats I've come across. Or even a few of the Jackson JS32's I've come across. The small headstock improves the balance and reduces the neck dive that the large headstock affinity model has. The finish application to the fretboard on the sonic is a bit thin/lacking in a few places, but the back of the neck the finish is perfect, a nice speedy satin. The pickup, while nothing to write home about is plenty adequate to not need to replace it right away, and the tone knob provides a very usable range for the pickup thicker, but not muddy when rolled off, and brightens up nicely as you go up. The slightest adjustment to the truss rod removed the tiniest bit of string buzz but all in all, that wouldn't even have been truely necessary except for my OCD. I honestly find myself picking up this or my squier affinity strat as much or more so than my 90s Fender MIM, and that guitar was twice the price and that was in 90s dollars... *Note, I've had better luck with the fretwork on the maple necks than the indian laurel necks.

Expectations TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY! Incredible value for the money!
I took a chance on this guitar and thought “How good can it be?”. I have 6 other guitars of varying prices but none that are less than $700. Until I received this guitar. I had no big hopes for anything, I just wanted something that if I dropped it, I wouldn’t want to cry. HOWEVER! This guitar is my daily go to guitar! Out of the box THIS THING PLAYS AMAZINGLY! Every single day I pull this off the wall, plug in and am always delighted by this guitars playability. This plays better than any of my full priced models. If you have anyone wanting to learn guitar, THIS IS THE TOOL to gift them. Amazing sound, neck feels incredible, I cannot emphasize HOW GREAT THE PLAYABILITY REALLY IS! Ive had it for 8 months or so and still has the strings on it that came with it, I hit the whammy bar often and very little goes out of tune, this is a budget model that plays better than my Fender Toronado GT HH. This may be the last guitar I ever buy, ITS THAT GOOD! Zero regrets and always happily surprised every time I pick this up. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

I ADORE MY SILLY PINK GUITAR
I ADORE THIS GUITAR SM!!! it's my first electric and I love it to the moon and back. Came with the box pretty dinged up for a package that said "fragile handle with care" plastered all over it, but the guitar was perfect so really no complaints. Its heavier than I expected 😭 ig just cause I've never played nor even held an electric before, as prior to owning this gem I mained acoustic. The sound of this guitar is lovely abd im sure once I get more skilled it'll sound even better!!! The neck feels so nice ommgg the frets aren't sharp or anything you can really barely feel them unless you slide down the neck with a barre chords or smth really fast then it kinda hurts a bit lol but to be expected ig. Its so pretty im gonna cry lol. I love it sm I highly recommend as a first guitar or even as an experienced player bc it's genuinely good. I see lots of ppl buying these as modding platforms but honestly they're amazing on their own. I would love to get a whammy bar for it, but idek where to start with stuff like that or if these can even allow one to be installed lol. Either way, bc I'm rambling, lovely and amazing guitar!!!

Beautifully crafted instrument that sounds superb
My mom bought my older brother a white Stratocaster with blonde maple fretboard when I was 13 years old. He didn't allow anyone to touch it, but I would sneak into his room whenever possible (when he was out) and I tried to learn to play it, LOL! I LOVED that guitar. Well, I've been a working musician for several decades now, playing mostly Charvels, SGs and Les Pauls but when I saw this Arctic White Stratocaster on Amazon for $199, it brought back so many memories that I immediately decided to buy. I've owned a black Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard for about 25 years now, but this Arctic white guitar is so gorgeous and it plays so beautifully that it outshines my old Strat by miles. I now own nine guitars and this one has instantly become my favorite. It was set up almost perfectly, right out of the box, other than a slight adjustment on the low E and A strings, quickly made with the included Allen wrench. I can't express how much I absolutely LOVE this Stratocaster! It sounds as good and plays as well as many guitars that cost thousands. Trust me on this!

It’s a really good beginner guitar
This is a really good Stratocaster for the price. The pickups are good, they all work very nicely. I was a little pissed with the pick guard being scratched and it probably had to be something that went wrong but definitely not during shipping. Shipping was good, packaged well. For pretty much almost two months, it’s my main guitar and it holds up well. You could probably get a better strat with the squier affinity series but the sonic strats are a really good choice for a beginner. It has rolled frets and doesn’t slice your hand when playing up and down the fret board.

It's very nice...
I actually prefer short-scale Gibson guitars but bought this coz I wanted a Strat - I played one when I was a kid and missed it. I chose this one instead of the one with the hard tail bridge to get the full "Strat" sound. I'm pleased with the decision. The fretwork is great on mine; The neck and hardware are perfect. The action needed to be adjusted coz it was really high but that's typical. The neck finish isn't the high-gloss Maple lacquer that I liked so much, but feels very nice - like my Jackson Dinky. I suggest looking at a couple Youtube videos discussing Strat setup before starting to seriously play it; as the setup can affect your "experience" with the guitar... Especially the trem bar,,, mine was extremely tight. About the only negative thing that I've found so far is it goes out of tune a little easy, but that's trem bars for you... ESPECIALLY if you adjust it to "float" - but I digress... For the money, I'm going to say you're getting as close to a Strat as you're prolly gonna get with this price-point.

Very poor humbucker
For the low cost, not bad. Nice neck (though a little rough), good body, HSH routing, but the humbucker is weak. I only wanted it for the neck and body though, so I'm happy with it, but I gotta deduct 2 stars due to the sad humbucker. This is a decent buy for someone who wants to mod it, but not a good buy for someone who wants a single humbucker guitar. You're probably wanting to play EVH style rock, metal, or punk right? Well you may end up being disappointed with the stock pickup. If you're planning on swapping it out, then you'll be fine, fixed bridge Strats are awesome, but if not, maybe get something else. Also, the tuners are not standard Fender size in terms of the positioning holes on the back, they are smaller, so if you're planning on swapping to locking tuners, the Fender style tuners won't work unless you're willing to drill new holes. All in all, 10/10 for a modding guitar, but only 6/10 for a beginner guitar. Get something else if it's a first guitar unless you're in love with the look.

For Those Who Love Stratocasters!
I've been a guitar player since middle school and have always loved the sound and look of Stratocaster models. The first Strat I had owned was one I had purchased from a music store in Roselle Park, NJ back in 1990 and I kept it for 24 years until I sold it to a co-worker in my place of employment by which at this time I was the bassist of this band I was in until the pandemic hit in the spring of 2020, thus claiming the life of my longtime soulmate and singer Terri, whom I named the Telecaster I had purchased from Amazon that June. This guitar makes it my second guitar purchase from here since then. What I like best about the Strat model is that it has a maple fretboard and that has a whammy bar for fancy playing methods and not only is it black like the previously owned Strat, but so is the pickguard. I had originally meant to get this guitar for my birthday fifteen months ago and for celebrating the Stratocaster's 70 anniversary but unfortunately due to financial reasons and my mother's declining health I suspended that plan. I'm happy to have it now eventually! For all of you Strat lovers or those of thinking getting one, don't delay!
