Replacement Headband Compatible with Astro A50 GEN4, GEN5 and A50X Headset

These are synthetic leather, but they feel real and are very soft and they reduce background noise better than the cloth pads that come with the Logitech/Astro A50 Gen 5 headset and these pads fit the Astro A50 Gen 5, A50X and A50 Gen 4 headsets. I thought maybe my synthetic leather pads from my Astro A40TR headset would fit, but the magnets are in different places even though the pads and plastic fit perfectly on the A50 headset, but the magnets being in different spots makes Astro and Logitech more money since people will have to buy different ear pads even though the A50's and the A40's pads are identical except for the magnet placement. If Logitech or Astro would have made the ear pads interchangeable it could have saved them money of not having to make two different types of ear pads and it would have been cheaper for the consumer to switch ear pads between the A40s and the A50s.

I had to write this review because I'm amazed this isn't purchased more. I was skeptical from the price and lack of reviews, but these are the closest to OEM I have found. That other "cooling" brand has no ventilation. These have airflow. Someone else said they don't fit, but that's because he was trying to use them on GEN3. They fit perfectly on A50 GEN4.

This replacement for my gaming headset worked perfect, it snapped into place easily and securely and made the headset very comfortable.

So overpriced

Like many, the head piece would not stay clipped in the greoces of the headset. I just used some black duct tape I had And takes the ends of the headset to squeeze it shut so the cushion piece could stay in place. A little modification and now it stays in place. It’s comfortable and my head no longer has dents in it from the plastic/rubber lol.
