Immediately when opening SpiceWay's crushed red pepper, you could smell it wasn't that low-grade dust- "stuff" that sat on a shelf or warehouse for a year. You are hit with a superior grade smell that you can almost taste. The flakes are bright and have a faint amount of moisture left that let's you know it isn't something old. When using it, you can smell how good it is. A little peperoncino hitting hot oil is a fabulous smell. It brings a full-bodied heat that hits the back of your throat and warms up your mouth but doesn't burn. And becauae it is a good quality item, you don't have to compensate by using more to get the same feel and flavor. I'd definitely recommend this crushed red pepper.

Not just your average pepper flakes for pizza and Italian food! These flakes are the bomb. And also have a lot of kick to them so much better than store-bought shakers or the little packets you get at pizza places. This is an 8 ounce package and should last me a good year or more but the flavor is just incredible. I highly recommend it.

These crushed chili peppers have nice, large flakes that are fairly uniform in size. The heat level is strong, and the flavor and aroma are great. They add a wonderful kick to different dishes. The package also has a good sealing clip, which is very convenient and keeps everything fresh. Overall, a very good quality product.
