Can I used a 2600mAh powered battery strenght ?** A: ALL 14500 batteries will work in this flashlight. Any capacity (i.e., mAh) 14500 will also work, but ratings above 840 mAh are bogus. **Q: How do you load it?** A: NONE of these answers match the type of questions that go with the play iphone….. these questions are saying …. HOW do you load it (a tape dispenser) and other questions are asking about pant waist size. What is up with this? The question section does not match the item for sale. **Q: Does this tg06s always turn on in high mode like the original tg06?** A: The one I just received always turns on in high. BUT to get it to turn on in high, you have to wait a few seconds after turning it off, and then turn it on. If you do not, it will turn on and advance one mode. I considered returning it until I realized what I was doing wrong. **Q: Can I use an unprotected 14500 battery? Does the light have over discharge protection?** A: The light itself does not have protection. The light will accept either type battery (protected cells are slightly longer, and sometimes make a difference in some items). I always opt for protected cells, as they prevent you from over discharging as well, which will shorten life of battery. If you're using a cheap-o battery charger (the kinds that come included with a flashlight, etc), you especially need protected cells, to prevent over-charging... fire hazard. My general thoughts on this flashlight is... if size is very important to you, this is a great light in its size category, very bright. My one hangup on this is the battery... about 800mAH is the highest capacity you'll find, and they cost more than the 18650's, clocking in anywhere from 2000-3500mAH. ThorFire has many flashlights that use these, the VG15S is my favorite... much brighter, way longer battery life, only a few $ more, and not that much bigger, will still fit in your pocket.
