I just bought a second distiller from H2O labs the first one is still going strong having made over 2000 gallons of distilled water. The only reason I bought a second one is because we drink a lot of water. The only problem I’ve ever had with the distiller what’s the blower motor screeching. It was a simple fix. I removed the top cover and put a few drops of three and one oil on the shaft. Otherwise the distillers have performed flawlessly..

This product is well built with a stainless steel body. It takes approx. 5 hours to distill 1 gallon of water as stated in the promotional information. Easy to clean, with the H2O labs Water Distiller Cleaning Crystals (free 200 grams with unit), or just use vinegar letting until the calcified deposits have dissolved. Water taste great, and you will realized a return on your investment in the first few months. If you ,like myself are not fully confident in the electrical quality just purchase a warranty plan to ease your concern. I worked in engineering for many years and typically if a product is going to fail it will do so in the first few years of usage. So, I will submit a follow up in a year or so. I have been using the unit for a month and I have not had any problems. People have complained about the issue of not having an on/off switch, I prefer the reset option button. Fewer components , less probability something is going to fail. Cheers!

Do not buy. It heats up your kitchen as it steams. The water quality is not as expected: tastes “hard.” (Berkey is much better.) After one use, large burned spots were on bottom inside unit and also around entire inside about three inches down from inside rim. (Before and after washing pictures attached.) After washing, it still had burned, discolored, spotted gray-brown areas where it obviously overheated over night. Return policy is terrible. They argued saying it’s just “water residue.” Very arrogant to customer via response, even before they receive the return item! Threatened to charge me a 50. usage fee and a large “restocking”fee. Do not buy. Severe burned marks indicate defective and it could have caught on fire overnight.

I like that the distilled water has no taste to it. It takes about five hours to run a cycle of distilled water in this unit. It is a bit noisy, so I like to run it overnight so that I don't hear it. The unit is not that difficult to clean, but it still needs to be done. I do it after every use. The gallon glass container is great for holding the distilled water, but too heavy/wieldy to keep in the fridge and dispense as needed. So, I purchased two glass one half gallon containers to keep the distilled water in the fridge. They are much easier for me to store in the fridge and to handle/pour. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I really like this unit, it's easy to use and the instructions were very clear and well written. It is much cheaper, easier, and less time consuming than constantly going to the store. The unit is well made and I'm sure it will last a long time. The fan is a little loud, but it's not an annoying sound. I feel comfortable with the water that comes out of this unit is clean, and I like the activated charcoal pods and cleaning crystals. The box that the pods come in has spaces for you to write the dates you need to replace them by, and one box lasts for six months. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Had the old model and it was hard to clean. This model is much improved and easy to clean.

I had a career in Nuclear Weapons Physics, but you don't need that or Rocket Science to use this product. The design is very well thought out and the function is flawless. If you want perfect water to drink and use in your coffee or tea, you can buy distilled water for a few dollars a day, or you can make you own and KNOW it was done right. I liked it so much, I bought TWO.

I got tired of bringing those gallons of distilled water home and recycling the empty jugs. Now I am able to produce my own distilled water for my Keurig (no need to descale and I love the taste of my coffee), steam mop and steam iron. I also use it for cold beverages such as lemonade, iced tea and fruit punches. Our city water is safe to drink but loaded with minerals that eat my plumbing, fixtures and appliances. Even a softener and descaler does not take away the less than desirable taste of the water. The residue after running a cycle is unbelievable but can be cleaned easily with vinegar and non-scratch pad. So glad I purchased this amazing product.
