My son and daughter-in-law are about to have to stay with me for a while due to home repairs after flooding. My daughter-in-law works in the ICU overnight and so needs a dark room during the day so that she can sleep. Our spare bedroom windows face East so the minute the sun comes up the room gets bright, despite the blinds on the windows. I bought this blackout window cover to prepare for them coming to stay with us. It is nothing fancy. It’s not a finished blind that has pretty edges or anything like that, but it definitely does the trick! I installed it behind my window blinds and it completely blacks out those windows. I used the magnets to hold it up. I live in East Texas and I was not really sure how well. The glue on the back of the Velcro would do when the heat was beating down on that window. The magnets are super strong, which is great. My windows are about 68 inches tall and 31 inches wide so I only got one full window out of each sheet. However, I have smaller windows in my kitchen, laundry room, master bath and linen closet so I can use the remainder on those windows. I plan to buy more because our south facing windows have no shade and it’s made the back of the house really warm and I’m hoping that this will help cool those areas down. I definitely think it was worth the money. I think these will be pretty durable based on needing to use my fabric shears instead of my paper ones to cut them. But they were super easy to put up and really block out the light. You can see it in the attached picture how one blind has this behind it and the other doesn’t.

We bought a new home and there are no blinds on the windows. It's so expensive to add the blinds so we opted for this solution and we are so happy we did. We have ours with the black side out because our hoa doesn't allow reflective material and it works great. As you can see I life thr bottom and magnetic it up so we can still have daylight come in. We use it in our master bedroom and baby's room. The magnets stick well to the winfow Fram and are easy to use. We purchased 2 sets and found cutting it to size was easy with plain scissors and tape measure, and we still have good leftovers for other windows. The material is good and thick so it blocks some heat as well. I highly recommend.

I think these work great! The magnets are strong and the black out is truly black out! I’ve been using them for over 6 months now with no issues. Rolling it up kind of sucks but the magnets can easily stack to fold it on top of itself to have access to the window.

This was the perfect solution to keep light out of the bedroom. Easy to install.

If you’re somebody that likes a dark room to sleep in or perhaps you do shift work then you really need to get this. I was skeptical because it seemed like some cheap type product and when you get it, you’re thinking there’s no way this works when you see this thin little piece of material. But it actually does the job really really well I do have to say read the reviews of other people because everybody suggest to ensure that you cut it large larger than the measurements and don’t use the measuring tool that comes with it I 100% agree with what everybody has said in this regard. The magnets are extremely strong, so there’s no problem with it falling down. I actually leave it up all the time and then just roll it up every day and then use the magnets to hold the material up during the daytime. It’s still holds the material up with it folded over about six times. So that tells you how strong the magnets are. You definitely cannot see anything through this material so it’s very useful if you need to block out light.

Keep falling off due to the heat. Also looks weird outside if you have thr silver side facing to the outside. Works if you can manage to get the sides tight enough. Definitely DO NOT provide enough magnets. You'll have to buy additional magnets.

Great quality, thin but durable and blocks out light very well. Great length too. The magnets are strong enough to hurt your nails so be very careful with them. Advice is to measure your window and cut the length keeping a good 5 cm on all sides. If you cut it exactly to the window sill then light still peels out through the edges.

The blinds work great. Easy to install. Magnets are strong. Out of curiosity, I compared the little tape measure that came with the blinds to my Stanley tape measure and by 20”, the supplied tape measure was 1/16” off. So if you measured before with your own tape measure, make sure you consistently use the same tape measure.

Ce rideau est parfait quand on cherche un produit à moindre coût, qu'on peut installer en un claquement de doigts et qui fait sa job à merveille. Et avec les aimants c'est très facile de le décrocher partiellement pour faire entrer la lumière du jour les matins.

These are a must have for your RV if you have young children! If you own an RV you know the curtains or blinds that come with it are terrible and don’t block the light at all which can make getting littles to bed in the summer months difficult! These completely block out the light and are so easy to install. I love the magnets so they are easy to open up during the day when you want to let light in. Highly recommend, this is the most cost effective way to block out light in the bunk room of an RV. Aside from using garbage bags which looks terrible lol

Purchased as a cost effective way to cover a large window. It was easy to install and it works amazingly. There is a considerably noticeable difference in the temperature in the rooms we put it up in. I will be purchasing more for other large windows in my house. Being magnetic allows me to cover them when needed but remove it when it’s cool and windy outside.

Overall this product is great - easy to install and definitely does the job blacking out a room. My only complaint is that in order to install it properly so that no light comes in gaps, you'd ideally need double the magnets to the amount of fabric provided. I covered 3 bedroom windows with the fabric but had to order extra magnets for the third and also went light on the other two windows.

Worked so well. However it’s not a travel with you kind as you need to stick the magnets down (as expected). Our window was 61x58 and it fit well. We were too lazy to cut it up, so the bottom let some light in but we had sheer curtains there. Such blissful nights of sleep with this while we waited for the black out roller blinds to be delivered. Would 100% recommend.
