Love, love this fan for hot summer days outside. Can use as a fan or a mister or both together. It will wet the areas you plan to use it in, so be aware of that. I use it on our concrete patio. It gets wet, but well worth the mist to cool down! Would be great for patio plants you want to mist too. It has low and high settings, good battery life. I bought a second battery to keep charged. It’s been a year, second season using, working great. Keep box to store.

Works great, people hard on ryobi but my wife has a set and it’s in the house so I use it a lot (don’t want to get my Milwaukee out of the shop) and it all does a great job. The fan mister we take camping, charge lasts for hours and keeps us cool while it’s hot!

Great on hot days in the dry Colorado weather. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

Really works well. Battery lasts a couple hours, but that’s expected. We have a dozen Ryobi devices so we always have extra charged batteries available.

What a life saver.

I'm having trouble keeping this fan away from the wife, who loves it! Compact, quiet, powerful, easy to use, runs for ages on a small battery. Misting feature and two means of supplying water is great, and I love how the input lines are stowable under the unit. Very happy!

The good news is that the fan itself works well. I set it on a chair about 6-7 feet (2m) away from our bistro table and it provides a nice cooling mist. Since our water here in Texas is high in calcium, I fill a bucket with softened water from inside the house rather than using the optional garden hose connector. With a high fan setting and a low mist setting, it consumes about 1 gallon (4 liters) of water per hour. The not so great part is that the supplied 1.5Ah battery will only run 2.5-3 hours on a charge, and the charger is similarly weak, taking a good 4-5 hours to fully recharge. I'd recommend the purchase of at least one 4.0Ah battery and a fast charger (Ryobi makes both items). Of course, this results in a significantly higher cost. Do not expect the fan to cool an entire American-sized patio. We normally have 2-3 people sitting at our tall bistro table and it's fine for that. Windy days will of course affect the fan's airstream so placement of the fan is important for best results. The relatively weak battery/charger combo is the main reason for docking a star from my rating.

I use this fan when I'm camping where it's hot. Works great.
