Try duck tape or the clear parcel tape. **Q: Will this damage walls?** A: It probably depends on what is on the wall. I would expect any kind of tape to lift paint, except perhaps low-tack masking tapwe or film. This sellotape is not low-tack. It is designed for jobs where the grip is more secure. **Q: Would this be any good to stick fabric to learher just to hold it in place whilst sewing the fabric to the leather (hope that makes sense)** A: Possibly, although there is a chance that residue could be left on eithsurface. But if you're sewing those two surfaces together it's unlikely to be visible after stitching.
