Frame hangers 30 inches apart and you need a couple of inches either side to work the rope. I think the rope it arrived with I found too white so bought blue cord cheaply off market stall and was easy fit so, even happier now really is all blue. Have had bamboo blinds before, they are never privacy at night or when you have a light on. However the gaps in this are as wide as the bamboo so essentially you can see straight through it. Lovely decorative add but less privacy in daytime than net curtains...
