A sturdy cutter for many materials easy to set up and easy to use, a little bigger than I expected but not overly large. It was easy to set up and comes with 2 blades, I also found a spare cutting mat under the base. With a sturdy handle and sharp blade cutting was easy, and at 90 degrees un like some cheaper cutters that let the blade drift. A well performing, high quality well thought out craft cutter.

It looks like this will work well for soft materials such as matchsticks. Come with a spare blade and cutting mat. Its made from plastic materials, but this is of a decent thickness and it should give many years of use. It lacks a depth stop, but no matter a piece of masking tape along the edge of the angle plate will do the job to mark off the distance. Good Clean cuts on a few trial matchsticks All in all a good product and at a good price. Sadly, I cannot say the same for the Courier company used to ship this. Despite being told that it was to be delivered to a factory unit that is closed over the weekend it was finally delivered on third attempt through a fence on Saturday (dumped would be more apt description) Not at the correct address, but had it been it would have been closer to the footpath and no doubt lost.

The guillotine arrived three days after ordering. I required it to cut 1mm thick wooden planking for my model boat. It was so easy to use, and it will make cutting the planking so much easier. A brilliant item for the price.

You must remember this is plastic and it does flex, specially the base quality could be a bit better

Didn’t realise I needed this piece of kit until I started using it, I am making a diorama of WWI trench and was finding cutting boards to fit very difficult, saw this advertised, ordered it and have not looked back, great, accurate and able to cut boards consistently to the same length, don’t know how I managed without! Arrived quickly was well packed and I would definitely recommend.

Works well on small stuff. Probably as good as the Amati master cut, at a fraction of the price.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Despite the fact that it is made of plastic apart from the blade it is very robust. It does need mounting on a piece of wood to make it rigid enough to stop the base flexing in use and it needed a couple of extra holes drilled and countersunk at the front to achieve this. The blade is very sharp and a little fiddly to fix in place but the fixing with 3 screws holds it firmly to do the job. I bought this to make repeated square cuts in strip wood required for model ship building and today I used it to but 48 pieces 1 cm long and 1 mm thick and this was achieved in less than 5 minutes with perfect accuracy. The only alternative to this tool is the one made by Artesanialatina which is £30 and also made of plastic. The negative reviews on this item put me off initially but I am glad iI ignored them as this is a gem of a tool for the purpose intended . Thoroughly recommended. I would advise buying the pack of spare blades at the same time if you are planning to use this for lots of repeated cuts. I have deducted 1 star as it needed a bit of work to make it work to its best but this should not put a potential buyer off.
