SanDisk SDDR-121-A11M Micro Memory Card Reader
The unit that I received is the genuine SanDisk item. Even after having read about the unit's minuscule size, I was still very surprised by it's very small proportions. The item's construction is also as light duty as has been mentioned in other reviews. My only caution about the construction of this unit is that the plastic case is thin enough to be crushed easily by a heavy item in one's case or book bag. On the postitive side, although my first two attempts at downloading files from my smart phone's memory card to my PC failed (HTC to Sony Vaio), the third attempt worked perfectly and the download speed was very impressive. My best guess to explain my first two failures is that I may not have pushed the card into the reader far enough. Because the price of the item is negligible, and it worked so well and quickly at downloading my pictures and videos to my computer, I can fully recommend this item. If after inserting the loaded card reader into a USB port of your computer the instructions for finding your downloadable files do not appear on your desktop, please click on "(My) Computer" and under "Devices with Removable Storage" your downloadable files should be found. On my memory card, the videos and pictures were stored in the "Data" folder. If you cannot find the files there, please try moving the memory card a little farther in or out of the reader and repeat the process. The input design of the unit isn't exactly precision engineered, but for $4 and considering how well it finally worked, I cannot complain. My memory card was not damaged in any way after having used it with the reader. The card is now back in my phone and is working perfectly. Good luck!Update 5/17/13 I used the reader again today and it worked right away the first time. My videos and pictures downloaded very quickly. My memory card still works fine in my phone with no problems.Update 9/25/13 The unit no longer works.

If you use microSDHC cards, don't leave home without it.
I carry lots of "stuff" on my smartphone, which I increasingly use as a replacement for a laptop. (The Sprint HTC Evo 4G with a wireless keyboard is a fantastic combination. Smartphones and convergence are actually happening.)Usually I upload files that I might need to the "cloud" or email them to myself. But for music, movies and other voluminous masses of data, I use a USB cable - which I often don't have with me in the field.Enter this handy little gizmo, the SanDisk SDDR-121-A11M MobileMate Micro Memory Card Reader. Take my microSDHC card out of the smartphone, pop it into this gadget and plug it into a USB connector. That's all there is to it. Works like a charm without hassles. It is a lot more convenient than the SD card sized adapters because it has a lanyard and will fit on a key ring.Build quality is adequate and I do anticipate having to replace it somewhere down the line. A small price to pay for the convience. If you have a smartphone, MP3 player or other gadget using a microSDHC card that you want to transfer data to or from, this is literally the perfect solution.Jerry

Excellent MicroUSB Card Reader & Writer
I had a MicroSD card that I needed to create an image of, then duplicate to a blank MicroSD card. In other words a clone. On my Windows 10 Machine, I use Win32 Disk Imager to create a backup for my rasberry pie SD card. Insert and let the program "read" the card, then it creates an image. Eject original card and insert blank card and "write" to it. When finished, click on the verify button which compares image to new card. Works flawlessly with this card reader. Other will not work with this program. Windows sees the card but the program fails to recognize the drive letter. Buying 3 more of these as they work for my purposes.

Memory card reader
So far I really like the reader; This is the third one I have purchased, I give them to others who are not sure how to read their micro chips. They are priced right and I have not found one yet that didn't work as advertized. My only complain is that because they are cheap at the price I usually buy other items , i.e. a micro-chip say, when the companies ships my order I usually have to pay shipping on several packages when they could just put everything in one envelop and we both could save money on the shipping, instead the shipping cost twice as much as the product and the only one who makes out is the shipper. Which of course keeps me from ordering more stuff.

High quality genuine sandisk microSD card reader
Great for writing too or reading from microSD cards with a computer. TINY...the size of my pinkey finger from the end to the first knuckle. Small enough that I think I could swallow it if I wanted too. After I write to a card, it and the card are warm to the touch, not hot. It has supported fast file transfers with several UH-1 class Sandisk ULTRA microSD cards I use, at speeds over 20 MB per second, and has worked well for some slower cards too. Neat LITTLE gizmo. Just what I was looking for, as microSD is the only flash memory card format that I use. If you use multiple types of cards, the full size Sandisk multi-card reader may better suit your needs. Another quality Sandisk product!Be aware that this product has been copied and that knock-offs of unknown quality are on the market. I purchased mine from MEMORY EXPERT for $3.50 with free shipping, and recieved a genuine sandisk unit with a serial number, in its original packaging.
