Chicken Nesting Box Herbs 20oz Vacuum-Packed, Natural 6 Dried Herbs for Chicken Coop Freshness, Healthy Hens, Optimal Egg Production and Reduced Stress

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered these. However, since I have always used essential oils and all natural products only with my chickens since they were young, I was hopeful that the herb form of some of the essential oils that I use would work too. I am happy to say that so far, so good. My purpose in adding these to the nesting boxes was to chase away the pesky mosquitoes that for whatever have made a home in there this year for the first time. Roughly 24 hours after adding the mixture to the nesting boxes, when I went to check for eggs this evening, I was not swarmed by mosquitoes. As a matter of fact, I don’t remember seeing any at all! Hoping this continues. They also add a wonderfully calming scent to the coop! Very smart to add the long term storage bag and a tie for storing the herbs after opening the shrink wrapped package!

Great product, just didn’t see a difference in their comfort. They liked to eat some of it though 😆

These were really nice added to our coops cleaning routine. Not the best value for the money as it clumps and takes a bit to seperate. Pretty colors and smells. Worked well and was a pretty good size amount. I was able tonuse in 32 nesting boxes.

Don’t usually purchase things like this, but I am a very clean homesteader and always like the smell of clean spaces. I saw this in a homesteader video and thought I would try it. I love the smell. It comes with a bag and ribbon to get it mixed up well and store. My ladies are sleeping in later, lol, don’t know that has anything to do with it, but I’m not hating it. It’s been in several days and every time I collect eggs, the fragrance hits me first. I used a small amount and clean bi weekly ( my hens free range all day and only go up at night) so I’m sure this will last awhile.

I was reluctant to purchase thinking, yeah right, I won't smell chicken ick. Well.....I am so glad I purchased!!! I clean my tiny coop out every other week, but I scoop the coop of poop often (like I do for my cats litter box). This cuts down on any odors and they seem to really like it! They have 1 nest they all share (their choice, I've got nesting boxes and a home made built open box to roost in (it's Florida, it's hot most of the year) and I sprinkled a bit in the nest. They pick it and move the flowers where they want them. I also sprinkle just a bit in their run after turning the bedding on the ground. You don't need a ton, a little bit goes a long way! Since my sister mentioned she moved her horse to a new stable and there is no large tack room for storage, she carts things back and forth and complained her car smells like sweaty horse and leather, I'm going to put a handful in a mesh bag leftover from my daughter's shower for her to keep in her car. Will buy again!
