Although this is advertised for pigeons the active ingredient of this product ivermectin, which is used in a huge amount of prescribed and home remidies to treat worms, lice and mites as well as other conditions in an assortment of small pets. Last year we had a breakout of the dreaded red mite with our bantams and a vet suggested us a spot on treatment of invermectin to treat our girls, he did tell us to withdraw from eating their eggs for 14 days after treatment. The health of our girls started picking up soon after and their combs returned to their bright red and they were much happier. We now like to keep a bottle of this treatment in reserve, just incase we get a breakout again. Make sure you read the instructions carefully which are on the side of the bottle prior to use and consult a vet first if unsure, especially if you are thinking of treating anything other than pigeons. This brand which is manufactured in the UK is very good value for money compared to the previous brand I purchased and is actually produced locally to me which is always nice to see.
