I've been a huge fan of classic arcade games since I was a kid, chomping ghosts in Pac-Man and battling aliens in Galaga at the local pizza joint. When I saw the Arcade1Up PAC-MAN Deluxe Arcade Machine, I knew it was time to relive those memories without leaving home, specifically by turning my man cave into the ultimate retro gaming spot. After unboxing this beauty and setting it up, I can confidently say it's a total winner: fun, nostalgic, and surprisingly high-quality for the price. First off, the build is impressive. It's a full-size, 5-foot-tall cabinet that feels sturdy once assembled, with vibrant yellow Pac-Man artwork that pops against the garage walls. The 17-inch screen is bright and crisp, perfectly capturing the retro pixel art without any modern distortions. It comes loaded with classic games, including Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and more, plenty to keep me entertained during downtime in the garage. The controls are responsive, with a solid joystick and buttons that have that satisfying click, though I wish the joystick had a bit more resistance for precision in games like Pac-Man. Sound quality is decent too, with built-in speakers that deliver those iconic chomps and zaps loud and clear, even over the sound of the kids playing or whatever else is going on in the space. Assembly was straightforward, but here's where I have some tips for future buyers: The included installation video is super helpful. It walks you through every step with clear visuals. That said, I found it even more useful to pause it during each section to double-check my work, especially since some panels can be a tad tricky to align if you're going solo. Pro tip: Pay extra close attention at the very end when installing the bracket screws. If you accidentally grab the wrong pack of screws (the longer ones meant for something else), they'll poke right through the outside wall of the cabinet. Ask me how I know! I caught it just in time by rewatching that part slowly. Overall, it took me about 45 minutes, and no tools beyond a screwdriver were needed. Once up and running, this thing is pure joy. My buddies have been swinging by the man cave garage for high-score challenges, and it's become the centerpiece of our hangouts. No regrets on the purchase: it's like having a piece of arcade history right where I tinker and chill out. Old school stand up arcades are the best: Short game play times encourage sharing the game, taking turns, and making the experience fun for everyone! Highlights: 1: This arcade is well packaged. My box arrived damaged on the outside, but arcade was packaged so well, there was no damage to the actual arcade. 2: The arcade has a good selection of quality classics that all play well (rather than thousands of games you never heard of and don't play well). 3: Screen, controls, sound, and art are all great and contribute to the old school arcade experience I loved as a kid when we went to the pizza parlor. 4: After the third game the audio stopped working. I contacted customer service via the website on a Saturday night and had a response within a few hours! I worked with customer service trying out some trouble shooting steps over Sunday and Monday, and when it was clear the problem was the PCBA (the brains of the arcade), they promptly sent out a new one and made sure I knew how to install it. I was able to install the new PCBA with just a Phillips head screw driver in under 20 minutes. It was worked flawlessly ever since. The customer service experience was top notch! 5: The price is amazing compared to other arcade units.

Exactly as I had hoped, games are just like I remembered when I was a kid, build was easy enough. I put it together my self, and though it looked daunting, I just followed the instructions step by step and put it together without any issues. Directions are just so-so, but good enough for me to do it perfectly. From opening the box to plugging it in took about 4-5 hours. Games all play perfectly without issue. The entire game console is a bit smaller than the original arcade games, the screen and sound are great and game play feels just like in an arcade. Total build quality and playability are very high quality. I am 6’2” and no issues seeing and playing all games. So many fond childhood memories are evoked each time I play these games! A must have if you have grandchildren!

Awesome PAC-Man deluxe arcade machine from 1Up. Beautiful cabinet and graphics and everything works perfectly. I changed out the joystick and replaced it with a higher quality Sanwa joystick, although that’s optional. Assembly took a little longer than I anticipated since I assembled it myself with no help. There’s a YouTube video I watched to help expedite the assembly process. I highly recommend this arcade game machine from 1Up. Lots of fun, a throwback to the 80’s!

Fun product, easy to assemble (but takes time) except for that last long side piece, be patient its worth it !

This is such a cool gift. It's full sized and the games work as expected. Putting it together is pretty easy but you'll need your own screw driver and the instructions can be a little tricky. The main thing is they don't explain to put the wooden posts in certain parts, you have to look closely at the pictures to tell. The end result is indistinguishable from a classic arcade machine.

Pricy, but that's partly because I live in Canada. Over $800 Canadian Dollars! But worth it for me to reexperience my younger years. I've played a lot of versions of Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man over the years but this is the first one that 'feels' like the original game, the way I remember it. Another old favourite is Galaga, also included here, and the same thing--exactly as I remember playing it. There's a Galaga 88 which I had never played before, good alternate version of the same game. As well as Galaxian, the original version of both (kinda like a more modern version of Space Invaders). Dig Dug is another game I remember from my youth, worth playing again. The other included games I haven't played too much yet, but I'm sure I'll get into them eventually. The machine itself was a little challenging to put together. It took me most of the day to assemble it, all by myself, but building things has never been one of my strong points. The fact that I did it all by myself, it looks correct and stands up by itself is good enough for me. If you're the least bit handy it should be no problem at all. It's very obviously a strong, sturdy, good quality product, which it should be for the money I paid.
