It came in a beautiful box and all the steaks in the set were excellent, particularly the ribeyes.Way above average in my book👍

I rarely give 5 stars, but that steaks set was worth it and for the 5 lb the price was reasonable.

My wife asked me to handle the food for her 50th birthday dinner with five of her coworkers (no guys were allowed, ha ha). As a gift, I ordered this gift box with 2 filet mignons and 4 sirloins. Good size portions, perfect for the ladies who don’t always like cutting a bit porterhouse or the heavier marbling and bold flavor of ribeyes. I cooked everything, cleaned up and went downstairs to relax. A bit later they called me back up just to be thanked by everyone for making what all said were the best steaks they’d had in a long time. Most importantly, their plates were clean!

Writing this review even though Amazon did right by me and refunded my entire order. HOWEVER, I’m compelled to post this in the hopes that someone out there will read this and never buy this product and in the hopes that Grumpy butcher will improve its product.1. The steaks were insanely overpriced relative to the quality of beef that I got. What I should have gotten was the 2% of USDA steak. I got the bottom 2% quality steak.2. If they were flask frozen, then why did they show up as a sloppy bloody grisseley mess. By the time I washed all the slime and blood off of the steak I was left with the mushiest off-cut of beef I’ve ever seen. Irony is it was so mushy you’d think it would cook up tender. Nope. Opposite.3. When cooked to a medium rare, it was almost inedible it was so tough to chew. Zero taste, zero texture other than tough grissle and fat.4. Finally, I licked this up less than an hour after delivery and it was thawed through. No dry ice, just two gel packs.Again, Amazon gave me a refund, kudos, but this product is the absolute worst. I should have known better based on the brand name Grumpy Butcher.

So let me start by saying reading is fundamental. I purchased this box as part of a grilling themed Father's Day gift. While I appreciate the quick delivery, there is no way I would have paid almost $90 for 2 steaks. It is my fault for misreading the description. I thought I was purchasing a variety of steaks, more than 2! Could have gone to my local butcher for a lot less. Product not worth the price.

Product was good as expected! However the box it came in was damaged and tossed on the front pourch with no notification it was here (the ice pack still kept it cold) delivery service was poor.

This was a gift. Very appreciated. They thought the quality was good.
