Works well. Simple to adjust the depth. Much heavier than I was expecting but because of this it somehow feels legit. Good cross hatch grip that's functional and needed due to the stout nature of this thing! Set us a great puck bed.

I do like this tool, my only complaint is coffee getting stuck of the sides and having ti clean it every 4 or 5 times after use. I run a coffee cart so it can become annoying

This is my second coffee distributor, purchased mostly as the result of curiosity! I’m unexpectedly glad I did. One would not expect it from such a simple tool but I’ve learned there’s a ‘technique’ to it. Because it’s adjustable one should - of course - experiment to find the best depth for one’s usual basket(s) and dose level(s). Using this after preparing the grounds bed I found what works best for *me* is to rest it on top and turn it a few times - slowly - letting the weight of this tool gradually pre-tamp the grounds into place. Once the outer lip of this tool makes contact (all or - if the baskets a bit full - mostly) with the rim of the basket I lift the tool slightly, let it drop into the basket to shake loose any residue, then give it a quick spin or two. Occasionally - when the basket’s a little fuller than usual and may not be perfectly level, but this is rare - I follow this by pressing down as I turn it manually. And done, ready for tamping. Oh, and it looks great. My wife thinks so too. She doesn’t agree with me on many things, but on this and other tools from this maker she does!

It is heavy and solid. The wood appears genuine and has wording engraved on the surface. I will give other items from this brand a try. When you're dealing with expensive pro-sumer expresso machines, you kinda wqnt the best tools and I feel like this brand puts in the quality. Even with a slightly higher price, it is ok for me

Is it necessary? Maybe not 100% but I’ve been wanting to get one for ages. And once you use it there’s no going back. It’s another very pleasing part of the process. It feels heavy and solid and well made, and just leaves you with a beautiful flat dose of grounds ready for the tamp (just bought from same company). No regrets, only smiles.

I love it. I saw other people using distributor for making expresso and I have been wondering for a long time to buy it. I wish I had bought it sooner. So worth it, smoothes, flattens and pushes your grinded coffee at the same time and you will see a huge difference in your brewing with less channeling. Must have for expresso making.
