Great Customer Service
Pros: * Customer service is absolutely second to none. If you have any legitimate concerns or issues, you can count of the folks over at The Sausage Maker to make things right. * There will be a couple of casings in the package. Make sure you know how much you will need before you start soaking the casings. You may not need to use everything. Cons: * The casings are going to smell pretty strong. The smell will stick to your hands and linger in the room for a while. You need to make sure that the casings are not legitimately rotting although, it's probably not going to be likely that you'll get rotting casings. Verdict: The customer service alone should absolutely compel you to only buy from The Sausage Maker if you're buying casings on Amazon. Follow the guides that other people have put out online and soak the casings ahead of time. Make sure you know how much casing you'll need to use or you'll may be left with a lot of unused casings that you'll need to try to figure out how to properly store for future use. If you soak for too long, the casings become bloated with water and it will interfere with the drying process. Make sure you know that the type of animal will have a different sized casing as well as determine how thick the casing will be. If you don't know if you should be using the beef casing then you should be going with the pork casing.

I got these after experimenting making sausage with hog skins. I used them to make white pudding and they are fabulous.

Very dry don't work
I expect a good quality. They were very dry when I cooked them it looks, taste like you were chewing a piece of hard plastic. Never bying again.

I like these beef casing it was what I needed to make my salami although they varie in sizes but for me it worked out well, I made a dozen salami and still have enough for latter

Good and resistent
Really good product and good package. The casings come dry and cover by salt. Couple minutes before stuff I wash all the salt away and let the casings stay in a bowl of water to rehydrate. Just before stuff I stuff the casing with water directly from the faucet and let goes thru all the way to remove the salt from inside. No problem to stuff very resisten no brokers during the process.
