Matcha Love Green Tea Powder Packet, Sweetened, 8 Ounce

After trying out many different types of Matcha, this Barista blend of sweetened Matcha finally has enabled me to make a delicious Matcha latte at home. Unsweetened alternatives and culinary options are great for baking and blending into smoothies but this one is ideal for a beautifully balanced hot Matcha experience. It can be added to hot water but I prefer to use a creamy oat-milk (for thickness). When home, I heat up my oat-milk in a milk frother and part way through the heating and frothing process, I gently add 1-2 tablespoons of sweetened Matcha powder. When the frother is done, it pours evenly into a mug and is delicious! When away, I'll heat up oat-milk on a stove or in the microwave then add this Matcha powder into the hot liquid and it dissolves smoothly without clumps, unlike other brands I've tried. Even from this same brand of Matcha Love, the culinary version is more prone to clumping when added to hot liquid and only stirred with a spoon whereas the sweetened - Barista version looks like tiny green balls in the package that don't clump when dry nor does it clump when added to hot liquid and is capable of blending smoothly with the use of a spoon instead of needing the traditional whisk. I've tasted so many oat-milk Matcha lattes from a wide variety of cafes, Starbucks providing the sweetest and strongest in caffeine (much higher in sugar and quantity of Matcha used), but this has been even better. It's more affordable to buy this package and make at home with your preferred milk or milk alternative and is more palatable than many of the café options which often taste "overly earthy". I would highly recommend this product, especially to people who are interested in getting a healthy boost during the day, packed full of vitamins and nutrients, without getting a sense of the jitters. Some of the visible health benefits I've experienced from regular Matcha consumption are the clearing of skin, nail and hair growth, along with gentle suppression of appetite to avoid over eating. Green tea has traditionally been consumed for health benefits and sometimes dietary influence. Matcha is a high powered concentrate of the fresh green tea leaves, substantially more potent than the typical bag of green tea. There is scientific evidence and documentation that regular consumption of Matcha over many years reduces the signs of aging, improves heart and memory function, and reduces the onset or risk of cancer and Alzheimer's disease later in life, amongst many other health benefits. This product is great for personal consumption, serving to guests, and makes a delightful gift. Even people who don't typically fancy Matcha have tasted my preparation of this and have found it enjoyable. This matcha is tasty and convenient! I use it to make my cold matcha lattes. Easy 2:1 ratios that you can adjust to your taste preference. Already sweetened which is a plus. Definitely recommend (for cold matcha) mixing your matcha with hot water from kettle/boiling. I use a mini hand frother/mixer to make the matcha base. Add ice to a cup, pour matcha mixture then add milk to taste. Stir and enjoy.

I love Starbucks matcha, but I gave up the daily Starbucks habit years ago. Recently went back to get one and remembered how much I love them, so I wanted to try to duplicate it at home. I did not have high expectations for this, but it is sooooo close to the Starbucks matcha, I am impressed. The taste is so good!

For 15 servings, this is one of the best deals on Amazon. I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’ve tried so many matcha powder mixes but this is actually very nice and smooth. The first thing I noticed was the vibrant green color when opening the package. If you refer to my first picture, you’ll be able to see the quality of this mix which was immediately impressive. I am currently drinking a matcha latte right now with this mix and it is delicious; ALMOST as good as Starbucks (then again, I may just like it better when someone else makes it, like how sandwiches always taste better when someone makes them; hopefully I’m not alone on that). I like that the serving size is one tablespoon, because for an 8oz. package that may get you more than 15 servings, but stay tuned. Concluding this review I should mention that the second thing I noticed was the fresh, earthy smell that usually you’ll only be able to find with fresh matcha leaves, but this particular mix has that fresh smell that fellow matcha lovers admire so much. I’m still on the hunt for the ultimate mix, but so far this is the best I’ve had.

So delicious, easy and convenient. I just mix a tablespoon of powder with about 1/2 cup of water and add ice then fill with my favorite cream or milk product and makes a delicious Matcha Latte. No more DD for me when I can make them at home and healthier. Just enough sweetness.
