OnePlus Pad

I did a lot of searching around to figure out what the best tablet was for my use case in this price bracket of sub $400 tablets. My main use case is content, such as Crunchyroll, HiDive for anime, YouTube and Netflix all of which this tablet is great for. The aspect ratio is a little weird but it isn't an issue for me at all. The quad speakers sound great for content, they more than met my expectations from experience with budget tablet speakers. They are pretty solid speakers. The screen is great, make sure to at least test the "vivid color" option (HDR) it makes the colors and contrast pop a lot more. This is my first experience with a OnePlus device and OxygenOS and I have so far enjoyed it. It's been about a week and I haven't encountered any hiccups or issues with it myself. So far for the money it's been an amazing tablet. I spent a good bit of time comparing the Dimensity 9000 to other chips like the SnapDragon 8 gen 1 and others, for best performance of the chipset because I did want it to handle some mobile gaming. I don't play Genshin Impact but I do play Honkai: Star Rail and it handles it great. Sub $400 this was the best new option I could find for performance and the whole package really. Supervooc charging (67w) is amazing for the tablet. From like 25% to 100% in about an hour or so. I use the limited charging so it stops charging at 80% to extend the life of the battery. If you're looking for a great all around tablet with a great screen, solid speakers, battery life and performance this is a great deal for this price range. You basically need to spend another $100 to beat it's specs if you want to buy new. The only Con for me is the lack of expandable storage. I don't think it warrants a 4/5 star for that alone since it's not a big deal for me personally, but it is something to be aware of.

Let me start by saying I love OnePlus. I have been on OnePlus since the 7 pro (which I owned for far too long and still miss that phone) and I have a 10 Pro right now. I love ALMOST everything about the Pad. The screen feels nice and smooth and responsive, as well as the high refresh rate on apps that support it is a very nice thing I feel like is missing from a lot of smaller devices. The speakers are best in class. TBH I have never heard a tablet sound this full. I at one point not too long ago working with repairing electronics and I have seen almost every device on the market and had to do testing on it. From Ipads to Samsung and Fire tablets, I can tell you none sound as good as the Pad. Now to the bad. I have 2 MAJOR complaints about this device. First being the "Multi Screen Connect" features leave a lot to be desired. First issue I ran into is connecting to the OnePlus Nord Buds. They refused to quick connect until I unpaired them from my phone. Thankfully I only really will be using my buds with my Pad now that I have it so I wont be swapping back and forth. The second part of that is the "Connection Sharing". It claims that it will send my calls and messages to my Pad from my 10Pro. This just simply doesn't work. I have all features enabled and it doesn't work at all. There is no connection being shared, no messages or calls being synced or passed. Don't get me wrong, I am glad someone is finally taking a stab at the Apple ecosystem by trying full integration. However, the most basic features should be working, not the one that is completely unusable (app sync, which for some reason works fine). Will update my review should these software issues be resolved finally. Update ----- All software issues from launch have been resolved. 5 stars recommend for almost anyone.

As a long time user of Apple ipads from original 9.7 (several) to 12.9 inch versions, I was searching for a tablet in between. I considered the newer iPad 11 series, but took a chance on an Android OS and unknown brand, to me, that offered the correct ratios and size to easy read financial/investments documents and PDFs. While the 7.5 ratio display may not be the best dimensions for games, it is unquestionably superior to reading technical documents and ebooks/articles that are in horizontal scrolling or page flipping. My 12.9 iPad certainly has a beautiful large display that one can easily read and edit on; however, it's size, weight and balance is not the best for extensive handholding reading. I actually bought the cheaper, light weight and largest Amazon Fire tablet just for reading Kindle and other digital library books, but now the oneplus11 tablet can do both quite well- without resorting to my high power reading glasses for some technical pdfs. Also the latest Android OS works well with syncing my Laptop's Windows Office/Outlook email to the OnePlus 11 tablet. I have only had it a few days, and I love it's response, speed, display (nice video resolution with ideal ratio/size), better Android OS and reasonable price. So, yes the iPad now has worthy competition. UPDATE: After a couple of weeks of use, I am still impressed and have semi retired my iPad 12.9. Even more, my Amazon Fire tablet and other older iPad 9.7 have not even been booted up. I will still use my larger iPad for ZOOM and working on programs/app only available on IOS. There are extensive documents in my Good Reader app/format - for example -not available in Android. Perhaps some could point out that the latest iPads have slightly better displays and camera plus a much cleaner back panel with more acceptable colors selections, but weighing cost and performance this tablet is superb. UPDATE: 8/15/2025. As I asserted earlier this is a remarkable tablet, and I have extensively used it everyday. Now the battery is being to weaken, and I would like to replace it. Great product but really poor service and support. I have a excellent repair facility located in Huntington Beach, CA; however, OnePlus will not sell battery. Attempting to even get a way to send in my tablet to their repair facility in Texas is faculty and so complex plus at least 15 days. So, GREAT PRODUCT BUT POOR SUPPORT & SERVICE.

I've read many reviews here and found many statements not consistent with my experience. The Pad is NOT WiFi-only, yet you DON'T need a SIM card slot either. You can share your mobile data from your OP phone (certain models) to connect to the Internet. (You CAN use WiFi if you don't have an OP compatible phone.) I bought the OnePlus 12R phone first, and shortly thereafter, I bought the OnePlus Pad, because I wanted to utilize the mobile data sharing feature, which is FANtastic! Both were purchased from Amazon itself (not the marketplace). Mobile data sharing will only work with certain models of OP phones. I have only tried it with the 12R, which the Pad is very compatible with. I have T-Mobile (I can't address other carrier experiences). THIS IS IMPORTANT: sign in to your carrier account on the Pad. You will not get an internet connection through mobile data sharing if your Pad is not signed in to your carrier account. (If you experience connection issues, this is the first thing to check...make sure the Pad is still signed in to your account: download the carrier app, and sign in). After that, turn on Bluetooth and WI-FI on both devices. In settings, find Connection and Sharing (I do this from the phone, but you can also do it from the tablet). But if you do it from your Pad, you'll have to hit Allow on your phone. (I'm all for saving a step.) Again, you MUST be signed in to your account on both devices. Then find Multi-Screen Connect. Your phone will find your Pad on the same account, once available, hit Connect. I don't often have connection issues or interruptions, but on Prime, I often have to disconnect and reconnect to continue to the next episode or movie, etc. I have not experienced that with Netflix or Apple TV+. When it occurs, it appears the Pad is still connected, but it either isn't or Prime is no longer detecting an internet connection. It only takes a second to hit disconnect then connect again. My primary use of the Pad is streaming. I do some other things with it, though. I typed my resume on it and had NO problems with connecting my Bluetooth mouse, nor 3 different keyboards I have. All good there. The picture is beautiful. I don't keep it on the best setting, but the one beneath it, which I think is High. I'm coming from a top of the line Sony Z4 tablet, which has a picture as gorgeous as their TV's, and the Pad is almost as nice, minus the super-deep blacks. But very, very nice. I honestly have not had any problems with the Pad, other than the learning hump with mobile data sharing function. Everything works great for me, and I'm picky. Regarding screen size, my Sony is a 10" screen (16:9 aspect ratio), but it has a little less active real estate horizontally than the Pad does, so the Pad is a gain both ways. If you're coming from a 14", the Pad will be smaller, duh. 4 out of 5 stars, because of no memory card slot, and 128GB max memory, but the RAM is great! Price is great. Overall, I highly recommend the Pad, even if you have to use WiFi, but the Mobile data sharing is a great, unique feature. If I think of anything else important, I'll add it.

I got this tablet a couple weeks ago and I must say I really like it more than my older tablet. It was a cheaper redmi tablet and was just starting to show it's age. This overall size of the screen is bigger and more square than my old tablet which is great for viewing videos, playing games, or scrolling through social media. The 4 speakers sound great, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. The display quality is quite nice too. The charging is about a hour and 20 minutes from 20%-100% so a lot faster than my old tablet. The processor is very nice and snappy considering it's a cheaper mediatek brand of processor but handles all my tasks perfectly. All in all this is a great tablet for the barely $400 I paid for it. I'm completely satisfied, oh and I just updated to android 15 2 days ago as well 😁

I have been using my OnePlus 7 Pro since it was new, and it's easily the best cellphone I have ever owned. So when they came out with the tablet I wanted to give it a try. Had it for a couple months now using it for mainly web browsing and video/media streaming, it's been perfect for me personally. Very fast and smooth UI, nice image quality, and the odd display ratio is actually fantastic for web browsing and reading. If I have to give any cons, I will warn that the camera quality is not great. It's passable for basic things like video calls, but you are not going to take any amazing pictures lol I don't play games and I haven't downloaded very many goofy apps so I can't thoroughly assess gaming performance and app optimization. Every app I have downloaded seems to work perfectly for me. I don't care about the camera at all and everything else has been perfect for me so I'm loving this tablet.

I bought this for a 2023 Christmas gift for a twelve year-old girl. After almost five months of use, her assessment is: the tablet is a really good tablet because it's screen is really big and you can see small details, you can edit photos really well and it has lots of storage on it for games and stuff like that. My favorite part about it is how with the charger that it comes with, it charges super fast and the battery icon turns blue. My other favorite thing is that I don't have a screen protector on my tablet, just a case, and I have dropped it so many times, but there still is not even a tiny crack or scratch on the screen. There isn't anything bad I have to say about the tablet. I really like it and recommend it.

Love this tablet. The usage is wide. From YouTube on the big screen for toddlers, to gaming with great graphics. And it's great for office use too. Connecting it to your messages from Google. Acts like a hub. Speakers are awesome. Love this tablet

Perfect pad with really amazing sound and picture quality would have been happier if price was bit lower
