Dr. Brown's Milestones Baby's First Straw Cup, Blue, 1-Pack

My son has been using this cup since he was 6 months old. It was the only cup that he could successfully use. We tried multiple kinds (munchkin 360 cup, traditional sippy cup, etc) and this was by far the best one. The weighted straw really helps him drink. The handles make it easy for him to hold on and I love that the lid open/closes for easy transport. Now that he's almost 13 months, we have again offered him multiple cups and sippy cups and this is still his go to. We've ordered 2 more so he has 4 now. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how complicated it is to clean. There are 2 silicon pieces that are very small but the cup comes with a teenie tiny straw cleaner (the smaller brush I've ever seen in my life LOL) but it's still the best sippy cup hands down. There was a small learning curve when he was first learning to drink from it but it took him maybe a day or two to figure it out. Couldn't recommend this cup more.

I really like this cup for my baby. The handles are very comfortable and make it easy for my baby to hold independently, while the lid helps prevent spills. I also like that it’s lightweight and easy to clean. The design is cute, and the size is perfect for taking it with us when we go out. I have a 13 month old and I struggled trying to find a good sippy cup to help them transition from bottle to Sippy. I love Doctor Brown’s bottles. The weighted straw will move with the babies motion super easy to put together. It holds 9 ounces easy to clean. It also comes with a cleaning straw.We’ve had these cups since he was six months oldHighly recommend I myself have purchased at least 10 of these

I have a lot of cups for my baby, including a very popular bear shaped cup. I’m trying to introduce water to my baby so trying to find the perfect cup for him. He is 11 months old. This Dr. Brown’s straw cup is the best cup. I’ve tried so far. I love that you can close the top so I can keep the straw clean when traveling. Even when the top is closed, it doesn’t bend the straw so much that it’s ruined the integrity of it. I love that it’s spill proof. I like the size of it and it has pretty good grip. I like the dark blue color. The only con I can think of is it’s really hard to clean the straw. Not sure if I am doing it incorrectly, but there are some kind of anti-leak anti-spill mechanism with the straw, which makes it very, very hard to clean other than that, this is my go to cup for my baby for when he drinks water. The price is totally worth it for this cup.

This is hands down the best straw cup we’ve tried. My daughter struggled to figure out other straw cups, but she was able to drink from this one with no problem. We have been trying different cups for months and It’s actually the only straw cup she can consistently use on her own. The handles make it easy for little hands to hold, and it’s been great for transitioning her to drinking from a straw. Definitely recommend if your baby is having trouble with other straw cups!

My baby learned how to drink from a straw with this cup 🙂 it has started leaking if I screw it in to tight but I don't mind to much.

I bought this sippy cup in June of 2026.After a few months, I am ready to write a review.Easy to use? Let me start with some initial thoughts. The suction In the straw was so powerful when I first got it that my baby couldn’t sip any water out of it. I tried as well and it took a great deal of effort. I had to ChatGPT it to figure out how to get water through. So while it didn’t work right away, dr. Brown’s cup is now usable.It’s also easy for my child to grab with little handles that can be removed. It is light weighted and yet big enough for his little hands to grab.Easy to clean? The straw design is intricate to keep it leak proof. That being said, I noticed the inside getting dirty and was concerned I wouldn’t be able to clean it properly. However, dr. Browns design prevailed. With a straw cleaner one is able to get into every little crevice of the straw. And this brand provides a straw cleaner if I remember correctly.Leak proof: while the cup is designed to be leak proof, recognize that water in the upper part of the straw does come out if your child shakes the cup. However, there is a flap you can use to cover the straw to keep it completely sealed. It is durable, except for maybe the logo on the cup, which has started to fade with be try little effort.So my assessment: this sippy cup probably isn’t as easy to use as your everyday average sippy cup. However, the results are worth it. My child was drinking from this straw around 6-7 months old. It keeps him from getting soaked, and he can pick it up himself. I believe it is Worth the money for the value.My reasoning for 4 (and I would do 4 1/2 if I could) stars is there were no instructions on what to do if the straw’s suction was too strong to make it unusable for a baby. I had to go to outside resources for that.

Problem I had with this item:1. It leaks2. The inner ball doesn’t quite come up when my toddler lies down, making it difficult to drink since it mentions that the inner straw moves as the baby changes positions but it doesn’t. Only okay when they are standing or in an upright position3. Milk pours out when you try to open the lid making it messy.I only kept it because I urgently needed a sippy cup or else this would have been a return

I did not receive what is advertised! The lid is also scratched. And looks cheap. I’m not convinced that this is an original DrBrowns bottle!!!! Feels like cheap plastic
