Review: I won't ever switch. - My favorite conditioner for 5+ years now, and I'll tell you why. It doesn't break out my back. Sound like a weird thing to even consider when buying a conditioner? Consider this: the silicone in typical conditioners not only coats your hair but leaves a film on your skin. This always makes me break out. While Avalon conditioner doesn't make my hair as shiny as some other conditioners, it does not have as many harmful ingredients, smooths and de-tangles my hair, and smells great! I won't ever switch.
Review: Formulation Changed w/o Explanation: Thin, Watery, Gelatinous. Doesn't Work Well. - I am revivewing the Lavender Shampoo. I used this product for years, starting maybe around 2005-7ish, and I loved it. They have reformulated it slightly over the years, but it stayed a good shampoo. In the past, they'd always announce on the bottle when the formulation changed. Well, recently, I boughts two bottles of it from two different sources: one from desertcart, and one from a local retail store. Both bottles are an entirely different product. The texture is completely different: it's thin, and watery, but also somewhat gelatinous. It comes out of the bottle very quickly, but the surface is kind of jiggly. The old texture of the product was entirely different: it was thicker and more viscous, coming out of the bottle slowly. With the new product, I need to use much more of it to achieve a good lather. However, I find it dries out my hair and also the skin on my hands more. This shampoo is marketed as for average-to-dry hair so I would expect it not to dry hair out as much as an average shampoo, and, the old shampoo worked like this. I called Hain Celestial Group's phone support, and the people were very nice and offered to send me coupons. They told me that the product's formulation had not been changed, because if it had, they would have announced it on the bottle. But here's the thing. It clearly is not the same product. They are lying to me. Now, I don't mean anything bad about the customer service reps. They are just doing their jobs. But this whole thing just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I don't appreciate being toyed with by big corporations. If you want to change the formulation of your shampoo, explain it to me. Own up to what you are doing. desertcart was very generous and refunded me the cost of the shampoo, and I appreciate that. But here's the thing, I'm still left without the old shampoo I used to use, and still want to use. Now I'm going to have to begin the frustrating and somewhat costly process of experimenting to find a new shampoo I like. And I have no idea what happened, and what explains the change of texture in this product. It's confusing and leaves me feeling betrayed and out of control. And I've wasted time and energy pursuing this issue that was entirely unnecessary. Not a great experience.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprised to discover how well it works for my DOG!
*by A***J on June 21, 2017*

I found out the hard way that my dog is allergic to oats/oatmeal... which happens to be in nearly every dog conditioner on the market. So in a moment of desperation, I used a friend's Avalon Organics Conditioner in Lavendar... and lo' and behold, it worked beautifully for my sensitive skinned dog. It works well for him, softens his coat and smells incredible. As an added perk, lavender is rumored to be a hollistic flea and tick repellant. Two years in and this is still my go-to dog conditioner.
