They are light weight (that's the one thing that attracted me to them), but they are comfortable to wear. The unique shoestring idea is brilliant! Now that I've had some time to break them in, they fit better. Initially, I had read that these were, in general, larger than expected, but I found these shoes to be just a little more tight. However, that is not a problem at this point. They stretched out to fit my foot nice. The arch is good. The only unusual thing is the left shoe heel seems to be a little larger (like a small lump) than the right, which fits perfectly. This might work out as well.
