Heavenly - Update
I've been researching cooling weighted blankets for a long time - not because I wanted the best on the market, but because (1) I'm desperate for a good night's sleep and (2) it seemed impossible that something heavy could also be cool. It defies logic to me. Several sites said the Aricove was the best on the market for several reasons, i.e., washable, quality of product, great customer service, etc. I bought it because it was one of only a few that came in 10 lb weight and wasn't for kids with a cutesy pattern. I have a Queen size bed but I only needed the blanket on my side of the bed and I weigh 110 lbs. I ordered the Aricove blanket on Monday afternoon and received it the next morning around 7:30 a.m. Amazingly fast delivery. To say I was skeptical was putting it mildly, but again, I'm desperate for a better night's sleep and use everything to help including CPAP machine, Melatonin, Valerian root, keeping my room cool, no caffeine after 8 a.m. - but to no avail. I still wake up once every 1 or 2 hours every single night. My sleep is not a deep sleep and I get up tired every day. I was tired of being tired. The Aricove weighted blanket is extremely well made and came packed beautifully in it's own carrying case and had instructions for use: start by only pulling the blanket up to your waist, relax and breathe deeply, etc., then move it up to your shoulders when you've given yourself time to adjust to the weight. I did as instructed and it felt ok, but since I toss like a fish out of water all night, I was concerned that the weight of the blanket would wake me up every time I tossed and turned and I'd end up feeling trapped and claustrophobic. Wasn't I pleasantly surprised when the first time I woke up was 6 hours later! I've not slept 6 hours straight in more years than I can remember. Shockingly, the blanket WAS cool -- not only was it cool to the touch, but my entire body felt cooler and I never woke up with night sweats like I always do. The weight was perfect and I felt like I was in a cocoon but not at all trapped or too weighted down. All my skepticism flew out the window. It still amazes me that this weight can be cooling, but it definitely is and I'm a very hot, menopausal sleeper. The only negatives about the blanket are: (1) I can't imagine ever sleeping without it now and (2) it was even harder getting out of bed this morning because all I wanted to do was luxuriate in it's snuggleness - and yes, I know that's not a word but it sure fits how I feel under this amazing blanket! PS: I've now slept with the Aricove blanket for over 2 months and love it even more now than when I first got it - if that's even possible. It's much hotter out now, but this blanket still keeps me cool at night. I still sleep through the night without getting up 2-3x like I used to. Cannot say enough great things about the Aricove blanket. Love it, love it, love it.

It's AMAZING!!! Excellent for Summer.
I adore my Aricove Weighted blanket! It's so amazingly silky soft and lusciously even weighted. Something not shown in the product description, is the 4 loops running down both long edges of the blanket. So, I attempted to remedy that and took my own picture and circled the ties on one side. So, if you were wondering if it has loops for a duvet cover, it's got a total of 8. It could probably benefit from adding two more, one at the top and one at the bottom but I personally, haven't had much trouble with bunching inside a duvet cover. The duffle bag it comes in, is large enough to house both the blanket and a thin duvet cover, if you roll the blanket up inside the duvet cover. Super handy to have. One of the unique qualities about this blanket, is the edging. Yeah, you kind of see it in the pictures, the diagonal forming of the squares, but in order to get that, the edges are formed up of triangles. Some of you may be saying no duh, but I found it really elegant, especially how they continued the alternating small, slim pocket to the larger pockets all the way to the edges. This thing looks like its been quilted, so you know there's been a lot of work put into these babies. Now, where sleep is concerned, it's really helped me a lot. I hadn't really thought about weighted blankets, didn't really need the extra weight, I've always slept fine in the summer till this whole COVID 19 crap hit. During the winter, I tend to get really cold and so typically have three to four comforters piled up over me which then ranges between 12 to 16lbs of weight. Of course, when Summer hits you lose all the weight to lessen the heat. But this summer, when I removed that luscious weight I was struck that night a night terror. The following two nights I had nightmares. The evils of the night tapered off, but I really wasn't sleeping all that well. Don't really know what might have changed to cause the anxiety. The only thing I can think of is the COVID 19 scare hitting my subconscious. During that time, I was fervently wishing I could curl back up in my winter fortress, but that's just way too hot. So, I needed to find another way to get that weight back and thus my search for a weighted blanket began and this one, really stuck out at me. The others just kind of looked cheaply made to me, what with the simple, basic squares that don't look like they'd hold up all that well when put under active use. I kind of bucked at the price but I kept coming back to it, simply because of the apparent quality. I knew my mom had also been curious to try one out, so, I went ahead, bit the bullet and purchased two. I instantly started sleeping better, though I found it initially strange to feel the weight, without the bulk. But all at the same time, it just felt so amazingly comforting. And the best part, it's a lot cooler than three comforters! It took a couple nights for my mother to get accustomed to it, but once she did, it was the best night's sleep she'd had in a long time and she absolutely loves it too. I purchased a third one for one of my roommates for her birthday, and while she wasn't necessarily having sleeping problems, it actually seemed to help her with her snoring. So, yeah, we love our Aricove blankets. They are beautiful! So luxuriously soft, you get the weight without the heat. They're truly awesome and I can't help but wonder how on earth I ever made it through summer without one of these. For that reason, I marked warmth with a one, because it's not going to keep you warm. Not in my opinion. But then, that's why I bought it...

Great quality!
For years now my wife has always talked about needing a certain amount of weight of blankets to help her sleep. While that works fine for winter, summers are always difficult because it's a balance of weight versus heat. After reading quite a bit on weighted blankets and reading multiple dozens of reviews on various blanket offerings, I settled on the Aricove blanket for her. Her height and weight were perfectly suited for dimensions and weight recommendations of this blanket. Ten pounds sounds "light" when you see blankets that weigh up to twice that, but it really is a noticeable weight and the 48" width is nice personal size so that in our king bed, the blanket covers her only. It took some getting used to (as seems to be the norm) but she really likes it now. The quality is great. I wanted something with smaller bead pockets to keep the bead distribution even and the bamboo material is soft and feels very comfortable to the touch and it isn't hot. That was a big concern, but between the fabric and the glass beads it lives up to that claim of being pretty cool. It comes with a travel duffel bag which will be handy on trips. As soon as it came out of the box you could tell that the quality is there and, honestly, I don't see how a such a blanket can be made and imported to my door for only $40 and still be decent. I opted for quality over price. The weight is great for her to sleep and seems to keep her comfortable and from moving around. I guess it holds her down a bit which helps improve my sleep as well. Ha! So while there are "cheaper" alternatives in weighted blankets I think you have to factor in quality, performance, and life expectancy into the overall purchase. In that case, I do think that this blanket is well worth the money.

Short term cooling turns to heating
I've had this for about half a year now and I really appreciate the weight. Definitely helps me to sleep in the summer without having to have a lot of warm blankets (I need to sleep cool, but if I don't have weight, I sleep light) This blanket is "cooling" for the first few hours, after which point, the glass beads (which take a long time to heat) acclimate to my body temperature and then the blanket retains my body heat quite well (too much for my comfort, but you might like it if you get cold after a few hours). I haven't tested out the machine-washable claim (too nervous about the construction / other reviews that said that went poorly) and instead make sure that it is always wrapped in sheets so that it doesn't get dirty. It has loops around it if you want to slip it inside a duvet cover though.

Giving my 7yr old the best sleep EVER! 🙌🏽
I paired this comforter with some sheets I also bought on Amazon. I read tons and tons and tons of reviews before I could commit to spending what I deemed was ‘crazy money’ for my 7yr old. But I was at my wits end on solutions to help him sleep. He has ADHD with an emphasis on hyperactivity and he tells me he has a lot of trouble getting his brain to turn off. Every night for the past 2 months he’s asked Alexa for advice on getting better sleep. After seeing his struggle and *somewhat* understanding his sleepless pain (I suffer from insomnia and restless leg syndrome), I decided to go on venture into Amazon land and read all the reviews I could to get him quality sleep. All of the reviews on the cheaper items said: ‘spend the extra money on something of better quality’ and all the reviews on the quality items said ‘I wish I would’ve just spent the extra money the first time around’. So I bought this bamboo comforter, and a set of bamboo sheets… washed and dried as directed and then put them on his bed. Not only did he say it felt awesome against his skin, he was asleep within 5 minutes of being tucked in (this has never happened) and he slept uninterrupted for 10 hours!!! (this has also never happened) When he woke up, he was so happy and couldn’t stop thanking me for getting him his new sheets and comforter that helped him sleep. He’s actually looking forward to bed time now! (Something he’s always dreaded) My only complaint is that I wish this company made a cover for this comforter. I used the flat sheet to cover his comforter and prevent stains from our dogs, but would be elated if there were a cover of the same quality to protect this comforter (as there is for the bigger sizes) ***paired with these sheets*** Visit the Pure Bamboo Store 4.6 out of 5 stars 6,899 Reviews Pure Bamboo Sheets Full Size Bed Sheets 4 Piece Set, Genuine 100% Organic Bamboo, Luxuriously Soft & Cooling, Double Stitching, 16 Inch Deep Pockets, Lifetime Quality Promise (Full, Stone Grey)

This is overall a great weighted blanket!
I really like the look of this blanket -- it's sleek and the double diamond stitching is quite nice, and definitely keeps the weight evenly distributed! It seems sturdy -- I didn't feel and tearing trying to pull it up over me, and the outside is soft and cool, but not cold -- it works fine in winter and would be nice in summer, too. There are 10 loops for cinching a duvet over of it, if desired, and the size makes for a good throw, and is also decent to sleep under. That being said, I did not find it comfortable to sleep under -- I don't find *any* weighted blankets comfortable to sleep under, though I was hoping this one might be The One :( However, if you like to sleep with a weighted blanket, this is a good one to consider. If you are looking for a throw, it's also a good one to consider. It comes in a very nice, reusable bag, and seems like good quality -- I do think this would make a nice gift. It's also aesthetic and machine washable! If it seems like your cup of tea, I definitely recommend this weighted blanket!

I LOVE THIS BLANKET BUT READ MY REVIEWS. I SPEND HOURS READING 94 REVIEWS ON AMAZON.
Even though I love this blanket, I wanted a less expensive blanket for my grandson’s birthday, since he loves mine. SO I DID A COMPARISON. I SPEND HOURS READING THE REVIEWS ON AMAZON. I read 94 weighted blanket reviews and made notes of the brand. I didn’t read the review of the same brand of blanket twice, and I skipped over weighted fleece blankets, since I didn’t want fleece. I wanted a blanket that was #1 WELL MADE, #2 BEADS DIDN’T FALL OUT OR SHIFT AROUND EXCESSIVELY, AND #3 WAS QUALITY FABRIC, no holes or negative fabric comments. I should have just brought this brand, but remember I wanted one less expensive to fit my birthday budget. I thought it would be easier to find one than it was. I also thought it best to get one with over 200 reviews, or at least 100. Since it was surprisingly hard to find, I decided to post this. I ignored complains about the size, (read the dimensions people), or it was too heavy (guess what, weighted blankets are heavy), or anything else people complained about except #1,2 or 3. I’m listing the acceptable ones with over 200 reviews first. There were only 8. EIGHT! Only 8 brands out of 94 that there weren’t complains about beads leaking out, quality fabric, or shoddy workmanship that also had over 200 reviews. They were, in no particular order; Manlinar, Bed Extra, Tempcore, EXO, Joyhing, Amazon Basics, MOOKA, and this blanket Aricove. There were 6 more on my list with between 100 to 200 reviews. They were; Halsy, Mr. Sanomed, Wesmore, Franco Sleep, Cloud, & Habilife. There were 15 with 1 to 100 reviews, plus 8 with zero reviews. There were an additional 57 different brands on my list that had complains about quality, leaking beads, or bad fabric. A DISCLAIMER! I didn’t read all the reviews. I stopped after the first 94 reviews on the day I was looking. So this isn’t a complete list! Just the 94 REVIEWS I read on a particular day on my iPad. I’m sure there are other good ones not on this list. I might have produced a different list on a different day or computer. And since I only read a review for a particular brand once, it might have had a different review when listed later. And I didn’t list fleece blankets. And I might have misspelled a name. And so on... My Aricove blanket is well made and washable. If you can afford it, buy this one. It also comes with a zippered bag, that is very handy since I now take this blanket wherever I sleep. It’s not fluffy. The weight of the blanket prohibits that. Also know, weighted blankets don’t help everyone sleep better. So don’t count on that. I was extremely surprised it worked for me, but after not sleeping well for over a decade, I was willing to try it. And they do feel very heavy. But I love this blanket, it should last me for years, and I’m finally sleeping soundly.

Better than any sleep drug, immediate effect on me
I had never tried a weighted blanket before and was skeptical it would do much. I've had bad sleep issues for some time now, usually not sleeping more than 2 or 3 hours in a row at most. Since getting this blanket in the mail a few days ago, I've had multiple deep 5-hour sleeps, and fall asleep almost instantly. It seems to make it so i cant feel the pain and discomfort in hips legs and back that often have me tossing and turning. Ive worn a vagus nerve stimulator, taken Calm gummies, taken medicine, drank, nothing has seemed to put me out as quickly or as deeply as this blanket. The most compelled Ive ever been to write a review lol

Highly dislike , no hug feel , not a weighted hug
I wanted so badly to like this . I don’t !! There is nothing I like unfortunately. First off , it is far far too light to give that necessary hug feel, and I am a tiny 4ft 11 lady . So this was the weight suggested . It is so light, that when I tried it as a lap blanket on the couch, one time , it did not get the desired affect. However ! What I like least , the fabric is slippy and slidey . It’s horrid . I tried it only one night on the bed , and it simply was sliding all over and off my body . The glass beads , kept shifting also. There was no hug , they did not stay where needed. I had purchased the duvet cover. I dislike it as well. It has a course Cotton feel . It is horrid to feel next to the skin . There is no ah from this blanket for me, it is an ick! I am sending it back .

Je l’a recommande!
J’ai acheté une 48x72 mais j’aurais du acheter plus grand. Tout le reste est parfait. Le tissu est confortable, sa température est toujours parfaite. Elle me réchauffe lorsque j’ai froid et me rafraîchit lorsque j’ai chaud. Elle est parfaite pour les femmes en ménopause! 😂 Sans blague elle a changé mes nuits…JE L’ADORE! 😍

Too heavy and slippery to stay in duvet cover
The blanket itself is ok. You must turn on aircon to use the blanket if you live in a tropical climate. The main issue is that the blanket is too heavy and slippery to "stay in shape" in a duvet cover, even with the 4 corners tied down together with the cover. It often ends up piling up to one side. It is easier to just put the blanket on top of a sheet.

Love it!
I love this blanket - I bought the 17lb one - had 2 great sleeps so far. Really well made!

Pretty Good
The fabric is amazingly soft and is much cooler than my other weighted blanket. Half the pockets had no beads in them, especially around the outside which causes it to flop around. Despite this, I find no better alternatives for cooling weighted blankets.
