Just remove the extremely bitter seeds.
You get a lot of product. Should of down sized. The quality was great. But you must be aware of eating the seeds. They are extremely bitter due to drying. The ends have a faint hint of bitterness. I love fresh kumquats, but, they are hard to get, so I tried this product out of desperation. I eat orange rinds for the pectin and kumquat rinds are so naturally sweet that I prefer them. If your making tea or a Bar-B-Q sauce, there are plenty in the bag, just remove the SEEDS.

Found them!
Yummmmm! Kumquats are out of season right now, and I was craving them. These are supposed to be brewed into a beverage, but I plan to reconstitute them and nibble on them for a snack… I hope. If you like kumquats give these a try. If you’ve never had kumquats, still give these a try. The sour sweet tiny fruit is awesome.

Much better than no kumquat slices
Much better than no kumquat slices, but fresh is best. The order I got was probably from the last harvest season. As the other commenter noted, you do get a lot. The seeds are easy to remove if you boil the dried slices before eating. The package arrived much earlier than the estimated date. Shipping was estimated to be 3 weeks minimum, but it took only 1 week. Note: be aware that postal service people might think that the package contains a different species of plant material, the one that is more popular, more expensive, and less legal.

DISAPPOINTED
THOUGHT I COULD USE THEM AS A SNACK, BUT WAS AFRAID OF CHIPPING A TOOTH AND I MUST AVOID SEEDS....HAD A BOUT WITH DIVERTICULA SOME YEARS AGO AND DON'T NEED A REPEAT PERFORMANCE. WAS VERY PAINFUL. THEN I TRIED BOILING A HANDFUL TO MAKE TEA.......THAT WAS A FAILURE. LIVE AND LEARN, I THREW THEM AWAY. TOO BAD I ALWAYS LOVED FRESH KUMQUATS.

great excuse to smoke a cigar.
My wife ordered these and set them on the counter I didn't know what they were so I asked. She told me to try one. I did and spit it out. It gave me an excuse to smoke a cigar to get the taste out of my mouth. I love it. OH she puts it in tea.
