So I need to walk her and give her the ability to run around some.This leash has been a lifesaver. I can take her out the front door and control her with a short leash near the door she a long one away from the house. It works fir me and she likes it. Rather than run away she cruised around while I walk and dies her late night pee and sniffs around and when I want to go back in she follows me.I can tell you how much this leash has improved my life. My escape arrow dog gets her freedom and I don't have to chase her all over.Last week she escaped and I found her limping white a bruise on her shoulder. I think she was hit by a car after she broke free of another leash. I've been terrified I'd lose her. Also, the locking system is difficult to undo, so it is difficult to go back and forth between letting my dog run far from me and pulling him back to "heel." The previous retractable dog leash I purchased did not have these issues. I bought this because it looked like my dog wouldn't bite through the cord as easily, which has been a benefit of this brand.
