Designed for quick, tool-free installation, it transforms your firearm’s handling for improved accuracy and comfort during extended sessions.

## Description

Hogue rubber grips are molded from a durable synthetic rubber that is not spongy or tacky, but gives that soft recoil absorbing feel, without effecting accuracy. This modern rubber requires a completely different molding process than ordinary neoprene and results in a much superior grip. The material used does not come apart or deteriorate and is resistant to all solvents and oils used around firearms. Hogue grips give you a lasting precision fit and durability that will provide years of dependable service. The flexibility of the materials and molding process has allowed Hogue to produce superior rubber grips with features that out perform all other makes.

Review: Great hand grip and perfect fit. - Great product and fit for me.
Review: Excellent product; very reasonably priced - Two-piece Hogue grip panels replace the one- or two-piece factory grips, depending on the P226 model variant and manufacturing date. The hard rubber grip material creates a much more secure (higher friction) grip surface, which can improve weapon handling characteristics but can also have a downside. More force is required to slide fingers along that material in establishing a grip to draw the weapon from a holster, which could create a brief delay in the user's ability to draw the gun in an emergency. As with any change in weapon or carry configuration, the best thing a user can do is to practice -- until you can draw the weapon quickly and effectively without thinking about how to draw the weapon. Yes, the Hogue grips do increase the overall circumference of the grip, though the difference is moderate -- not as dramatic as other reviewers have reported. This increase is likely to be good news for those with large hands, resulting a more natural hand fit and trigger finger placement. For those with medium-sized hands, it’s likely to just be somewhat different, requiring a period of time – and practice – to get used to the new fit and feel of the weapon. For those with smaller hands, who may feel the P226 already has a large grip, then the Hogue replacement grips may not be the best choice. The Hogue installation instructions could have been more helpful in telling me how to remove the factory grip. My recently purchased P226, a standard "Nitron" version, came with a one-piece hard plastic grip shell that slides over the frame from the rear and snaps into place. No grip screws used for this version of SIG's factory grip. Removing that grip was tricky, requiring using a finger inside the magazine well to push against the inside of the grip to create an accessible space between the frame and the forward edge of the grip. I put a folded piece of paper into that space (didn't want to use a metal tool to avoid scratching the frame), and then repeated that procedure on the other side of the grip. Once I had a space opened up on both sides of the grip I could work the grip backward to slide it off the frame. There is some discussion in previous reviews and Q&As about grip screws. Here's the short answer: The Hogue grip panels do not come with screws. If your existing grips are mounted using screws, you can reuse those with the Hogue grips. If not, you'll need to order a set of four P226/P228 screws separately. The P226 frame is drilled and threaded to accept screws, even on those models equipped with a one-piece, no-screw factory grip. All in all, this was a great upgrade to the P226, for much less money than most other replacement grips. Subject to the cautions I’ve listed above, highly recommended.

## Features

- Compatibility: Precision-engineered for SIG Sauer P226 DA/SA (with decocker) and DAK models in 9mm, .357 SIG, or .40 cal, these grips offer a seamless fit for the MK25 (Navy) and TacOps models; please note they will NOT fit the P226 X-Series, P226 Legion, or models featuring Low Profile controls such as the "Select" series.
- Alternative Fitment: P226 MK25 & E2* (Remove the E2 grips to expose the screw holes. You must purchase grips screws in addition to the new grips. This retrofits the 226 E2 back to standard 226 grip dimensions).
- Rubber OverMolded Construction: Hogue’s signature OverMolded rubber provides superior non-slip grip and control, enhancing shooting accuracy and stability.
- Universal Hand Fitment: By eliminating fixed finger grooves, this grip provides a natural, customizable interface for shooters of all hand sizes, preventing "finger stacking" and allowing for a more consistent, high-accuracy draw regardless of glove use or varying grip styles.
- Cobblestone Texture: This signature Cobblestone pattern features a series of small, raised circular bumps that provide a non-slip, non-irritating surface for a secure and comfortable grip in all weather conditions.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will these fit the sig P6?**
A: I do not believe they will. The P6 is a single stack, the same as a P225. The P226 is a double stack. Hogue doesn't list a rubber grip for the P6/P225.

**Q: Will these fit the P227?**
A: It does not specifically say that it will accept or fit a Sig P227 on the factory box. So no, I do Not Recommend that you buy this particular product for a Sig P227.

**Q: Will this fit a P226 x5 competition gen 1 with mag well?**
A: Boy, I sure wish the firearms industry would take a lesson from the ol' auto biz, 1956 Chevy Impala, 1957 Chevy Impala, etc.

Here is what Hogue has to say about the P226:

- Fits both DA/SA models with decocker lever, AND DAK models without decocker lever and hammer spur.
- Fits 9mm, 357SIG or .40 cal pistols
- Will fit the P226 MK25
- Will fit the P226 E2. Remove the E2 grips to expose the screw holes. You must purchase grips screws in addition to the new grips. This retrofits the 226 E2 back to standard 226 grip dimensions.

- Will NOT fit the Allround models.
- Will NOT fit the 226 Legion. Controls were made to hug tighter to the frame than standard 226 models. The slide release will not function on the Legion with Hogue grips installed.

- For optimum performance of an older SIG P226 with Hogue Grips it is recommended that the the trigger return spring be replaced with the "new" style spring which is available from SIG. SIG redesigned the 226 frame in the mid-1990s and the new pistols come with a redesigned trigger return spring. SIG encourages the use of this new spring on older guns.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Secure, on-target precision grip
*by M***S on October 30, 2010*

Yes they do add girth to my P226's grip, but the added cushioning that the rubberized Hogue design brings to the table more than offsets the additional width. Very comfortable to use even with my small hands; they help mitigate some of the snappy bite that heavier and plus loads create. The rubber shell always provides a secure and solid non-slip surface to hold on to. For the price it's hard to go wrong with this product, particularly if you're shooting with high levels of accuracy in mind.
