How to turn a cheap guitar into a good one
Got this becauxe my old saddle kept breaking strings and I thought it had a burr. Change for this because the difference in price isn't much once you decide to change it anyway. Very satisfied, you hear the difference in volume, tone quality and sustain, way easier to get heard in the street with it. Can't testify if it is actual Graphtech saddle, but if it isn't, it's a pretty good imitation and I'd buy it again!

Quality replacement saddle.
Bought to replace the worn plastic saddle on my 2004 Tanglewood Tw28-st (spruce top). In the hand it feels far superior to the original in hardness. At 3 inches long was a direct replacement, albeit with some light sanding to compensate for tolerances, and of course a reduction in height. Perfectly flat at the bottom I now have full saddle contact across the length, and with the additional hardness the guitar rings like a bell. If you have a £2-300 guitar, this will be a far superior saddle than the one you have. Speedy delivery too!

Far better sound than the plastic counterpart.
Bought it for my Yamaha f310 acoustic guitar. Was big length wise, breadth wise and height wise. You definitely need a sand paper, if you have the same guitar model. Reduced height, breadth and length from both sides, matching to the stock saddle. Tusq is lot easier to reduce with sand paper, when compared to bone saddle. The sound with tusq saddle and nut was far better that the plastic ones (urea). I like bright sound for guitar by the way, as I sing with cappo on fretboard.

well worth a try
I fitted this to my Yamaha fg700. 10 year old budget guitar with solid top that was already pretty good. But I was looking at more expensive guitars. It had a plastic saddle and cost £160 10 years ago. Anyway, this saddle needs sanding, particularly for its excessive height. Use low grade sandpaper to get the height down quickly as you will be there all day with fine grit. Use a flat table and just rub onto the sandpaper evenly by hand. It took me 25 minutes to fit and I you are patient there is nothing to go wrong. Afterwards I was shocked by how much louder the guitar seemed. The plastic saddle had a definite damping effect on the guitar. I have had to adjust my playing style. The sound seems now more open a bit like a martin. Only it is not a martin as you can hear the difference. Overall my experience has been very positive. I will hang onto my Yamaha now, its like a new instrument and I feel I can grow more with it. Recommended upgrade for cheap plastic saddled guitars.

Nice replacement for new epiphone j200
Needs a little sanding to fit the new epiphone j200s, but worth the bit of effort.

Perfect ... good result ... I do hear an improvement in the sustain and tone of my Yamaha LL500 which inexplicably comes with a plastic nut and saddle .
