Huge Cotton Fabric Goddess Kali 43" X 30" Tapestry

Beautiful - high quality - huge - with gold sequins! Jai Ma!

This is amazing! I know some people are complaining that it's not an actual "tapestry"' but do you actually think that you are going to be able to buy a woven quality cloth for ten bucks? It's a thin material, but if you have ever seen one of these before you know what to expect. I would NOT wash this. Even by hand. The colors are very vibrant and the print is crisp and clear. The sequin work is a nice touch but nothing special. They are like glued on-not sewn. I foresee them falling off eventually. Especially while I try to hang it. It is the ideal size. Not like one of those giant hippie tapestries that can be used as a twin bed cover. The actual image of Kali is quite gruesome-as it should be. Lots of blood and severed heads. If this bothers you may I suggest you buy a nice Ganesh or Shiva hanging instead. I think this is just perfect. It may scare the hell out of some people, but if you know anything about HIndu religion/mythology/cosmology, you know she's not evil. Very well done. Good job!

This arrived earlier than expected! When first opening it, it did have some creasing which went away after a few days of it being unpackaged/hung. It came folded in a thin plastic wrapper. It is a nice, lightweight material for hanging with the image printed on it. The fabric has some golden sequins embroidered onto the imagery that illuminate when light hits it. The art is so cool and the colors really pop. I think the sequins really pull it together too, it looks great in person. I have this hung in my bedroom, i love looking at it & i think its perfect! Especially good quality for the price

this came in right on time and i'm very happy with the product! the packaging tells you who checked your product before it was packed, which is nice and makes it feel a little more personal. there was no chemical/weird fabric smells when i opened the package, which is also nice! a couple of sequins fell off when i opened the package, but it's no big deal. i can't even tell where they came from. it's a very nice tapestry, and turned out to be even better than the picture. the colors are nice and it looks well detailed. i was a little skeptical about how the sequins would turn out because that's not really my style, but it actually doesn't look bad at all. it's a little bigger than i thought, but once i have a little more space i can't wait to hang this over my altar ! tldr: i would recommend this (

After having read some of the other reviews I was somewhat unsure of what to expect. I decided to order expecting very little, but taking into account the little price as well. This is not a $100 tapestry, but it is beautiful! It is a wonderful addition to my alter. The lack of refinements found in high quality tapestries does not detract from the magnificent presence of Kali Ma that is added to my meditation space by this beautiful piece. The unfinished edges are not in danger of unraveling, it is hanging on the wall. The creases in the fabric from shipping were easily pressed out with a warm iron over the dampened fabric. The sequins are in no danger of falling of unless someone starts pulling on the thread they're sewn on with. I expect that with proper care this tapestry will serve me very well for many years. If there were any temples dedicated to Kali near my area I would have no need to create my own. So thank you very much for offering these devotional support articles! JAI KALI MA!

If the word "tapestry" brings to mind something embroidered or a heavy rug-like creation, this product will disappoint. It is thicker than a bandana, but thinner than a tablecloth. But it's not all bad. The print and size described are accurate. I ordered it on a Tuesday and it arrived Friday of that week. It has small gold-color metallic disks sewn onto it, which is eye-catching. The colors are vibrant and I have found no major flaws in the print design. Now onto that with which I am disappointed: This "tapestry" is a print on a rather thin piece of fabric. The edges are not hemmed in any way. The cut edges are left with loose strings dangling. The fabric was not cut precisely; the black space around the gold "frame" is uneven. The cloth arrived folded and hence there are creases in it; I suppose it could be ironed, but there are no care instructions and the metallic disks would make ironing it difficult. (I was able to slightly lessen the creases by hanging it in the bathroom while taking a steamy shower.) The placement of some of disks themselves is seemingly random; the string that hold the disks to the fabric is too tight in the bottom corner of mine, causing the fabric to bunch and wrinkle. There are several varieties of disks used; I found the strings attaching some of the larger ones to the cloth were loose. There is some slight discoloration where the black border has streaks of white. Some of the blue outline of Kali's face overlaps her pink tongue. And finally, there is nothing with which to hang this item to the wall. There are no hooks or hangers or holes or cords with which to attach it to a wall. This item cost about 25 dollars after shipping. I think it is worth at most 20, and it would only be a deal if no more than 15 total. But for the shipping cost, they could have done better, perhaps gently rolling it up instead of folding it.
