This African soap is a good soap for washing. It creates a lot of suds when I wrap my African sponge around it, and while it does its work, I simply apply it on my body! It’s a good quality soap that really eases the skin because it contains natural agents. Good work, soap artisans!

They fixed the packaging issues. This is my second order. Lathers GREAT using African net sponge. Not to say other forms of skin cleaning tools, i.e. washcloths, loofahs, etc., would not, I have only used the net sponge. The label tells you not to put the soap directly on your skin, to avoid scratching. I wet my face, put some soap in my palm and rub together with the other palm, rubbing a bit of water, to get a rich lather and remove any rough pieces that remain. Then, I apply the lather to my face and use my hands and a facial scrubber brush. I have experienced the facial "burn" after using the exfoliating brush on the scrubber. I recommend using your hands or a softer brush. Then, follow-up with a moisturizer. I would say it is worth it. My skin loves it, and I have extremely sensitive skin. It definitely cleans you.

This is a generous amount of African black soap, and a little goes a long way. The paste texture makes it easy to scoop out a small amount and lather with water before using it on your face or body. The soap has a natural feel to it and cleans well without needing much product. Because it’s concentrated, the large container should last quite a while with regular use. It can be used for a variety of skincare routines, and many people like using it for general cleansing or for helping with oily or problem-prone skin. It works great but rocks you will find inside. I was also told that bugs may appear as well. But other than that my skin loves it, so does my hair and it definitely helps in regard to hyperpigmentation. It may strip oils though so make sure to slather up with oils skin and hair wise after use. And the smell is to each is own. I recommend using dove sensitive for intimate areas if you'll use it full body besides those areas. The amount is great and will last you for months on end. 😊

Let me tell me tell you something. I normally don't do reviews but I heard my ancestors calling me back to Africa with this. My skin was so soft so moisturizing and no..it won't like for 30 minutes or an hr...it lasts ALL DAY for me. I mean hey everyone's skin is different I'm mixed and it's difficult to find stuff that works for my skin but THIS is working so much for my skin. And it's ALL NATURAL. use a small amount, don't use a chunk because even a. Small size if you use a loofah it makes so much soap. The thickness is very good . There's not really a smell like it's not bad it doesn't smell like anything but what's in there. It's a very soft smell. I got the one with the paste so it's good size for the amount and it lasthers so I don't use a lot to wash bevaude it makes so much soap bubbles. And now the size is good because it can last you probably so long too . I just used this only a few times and I still have so much to go😂. I also feel like with my skin it's very very clean my pores are CLEAN dear Lord. I can hear my ancestors I'm going back y'all..🤭😂😭

After ordering Castille soap last time because it was highly recommend, and being deceptioned that it wasn't the best all natural/organic/no preservatives soap I was looking for, I found this one. The packing was good, it was as big as it looked in the pictures, and looks like it'll last for a while. When I opened, as in the video, the cap was loose and the seal was open, but there was no signs of it being used, so it's fine in my terms. After using it, it's not a slime, but a paste that you need to use with your scrub, and not to be applied directly on the skin (you'll be wasting more that way anyways). And you don't need to use much of the paste as well. To be honest, this soap is what I was expecting. No perfumes, no preservatives, no extra ingredients for maintaining color or texture, it's just plain soap, how it should be. Not made extra foamy for your convinience, not made with a pretty colors for visuals and you can also feel and see the crumbles of the ingredients they used in the making. You feel fresh after using it, it doesn't have a strong smell. Note: I have normal, sometimes dry skin, and usually oily face. Update 9/20/24: I stopped using this soap because I noticed it dries my skin more. My husband noticed it too. Maybe if you dilute this soap or mix it in with an oil or moisturizer it might just work better.

This paste is ok. I was using liquid black soap but the clean up is so tedious after showering with it so I tried this. It says don’t apply directly to skin and some reviews said don’t get inside product wet so I use a little scoop to get it out when I use it. Spreading it on a towel is very hard. It doesn’t spread. It work’s great with a loofah but I don’t like using a loofah on my face and it says don’t apply it directly to skin. It’s a good product as far as results it’s just I would like to use it on a face towel and have it spread and not stay in a clump. I like the overall product results I was just trying to find a better transition from the liquid. I’m not sure which route to go because I just want a smooth product to shower with
