I was a little hesitant at first because of several bad reviews but I made the purchase anyway. Other reviews stated that the bearings etc.. were making noise etc.. but I figured I could easily replace the bearings myself if they're that bad. After all I am a mechanical engineer and bought this machine to make prototypes, there is nothing wrong with it and it work's perfect. The other reviews are probably a competitor.

Doesn’t work as advertised. Couldn’t even mill thin aluminum plates without torquing up and binding. I’ve already returned the product in the same condition I received it, but have to wait a whole month before I get my refund before I can put the funds towards a real Miller. Don’t waste your time with this one and buy something else to avoid a return headache with Amazon!

The chuck head bearings are loose allow for no precision. Motor stalls with only a bit of pressure, may be ok for modeling balsa wood

This arrived in a nice box but the small items were loose and bouncing around. The tool itself is pretty rough. The tool holding platform is really sloppy. Some shim stock came in the bag of parts. I'm not sure if those would help. The motor is not very strong. The speed is not adjustable. The instructions are not great but it has great diagrams of all the assemblies. The x axis slide adjustment gets tough as you move to the right. You're going to need to be able to clear up these kinds of issues before doing anything serious with it.

I was really looking forward to being able to use this lathe. I've been wanting a lathe for quite some time so jump to the chance to get this one. Unfortunately, I will have to keep waiting and hopefully something better will come along. Because this just isn't going to cut it. It's just not a quality built machine. Things don't line up perfectly and it's extremely noisy. The confidence is just not there to build anything of importance with this. Sorry, but I don't think it's worth the money.

I spent an hour trying to tighten everything and remove the wiggle, but every single part of this thing wiggles in ways it shouldn't. The chrome looking parts are plastic, and so is the base. The manual is useless. About 40 thou runout on the chuck, but it doesn't matter because everything wiggles and moves. I attempted to cut an aluminum rod and it just couldn't. The chatter was ridiculous and it caused the chuck to keep opening. Not for precision, not for metal. I'm not sure what this can even be used for.
