Update: moved the lamp from in front of a window to a warmer spot and it’s now behaving as expected. Just a couple of degrees affected this lamps performance. If you have similar issue as below, change locations This particular lamp is primarily exchanging two blobs vs a continuously changing flow of multiple-size bubbles. Will be returning.

Returning this. Was very excited that it was a “Lava” brand and the color. First one, the bulb burnt out instantly. Bought new bulbs at the recommended wattage and it ran for over 12 hours and nothing. Had to agitate it to get any flow, and even then it stalagmited and didn’t remelt. Bought ANOTHER set of bulbs at 30 watts and did the same thing. Exchanged for the same model and it did the same thing, but was extremely cloudy and after following recommendations, remained cloudy. Very disappointing. Going to try another brand.

We loved the colors of this. It was very foggy when we opened it but after about a week it was nearly clear (blue but clean liquid). I wish they used a 40watt bulb because a 25watt takes forever to heat up. We ended up returning it to get a 17 inch unit. The 16.3 unit also takes forever to heat up. The 17 is perfect!

I have wanted one of these Lava Lamps since I've known about them !! Super easy to assemble. Brightness depends on you, where you put the lamp. It fills a room with a soft glow. Fun value ? Off the charts !!! 👍👍👍 The look is just exactly what you see in the pics and in your memories of these things from 50 years ago !! The size is great. Not too big not too small. I have our in our RV!! It's so cool .. *** It's cool to look at, but DO NOT touch the glass while it's on !! *** It gets VERY HOT. 🔥🔥🔥 PLEASE KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!! ... and get you one man 😎

The worst. What a huge waste of money and massive disappointment. The lamp turns on, that’s about as much thrill as you’ll get out of it. No flowing lava, no fun allure, nothing. Just murky, lit up water. Retuning and buying a better brand.

This is my fifth Laval Light. I like them. Sadly, this particular model is not up to standard. The blue liquid is 80% opaque. You can barely see the lava bubbles. I contacted the seller. They provided a 3-day process to clear the cloudiness. It did not work at all. I returned it and reordered, hoping there was an issue with the single unit I had received. The new unit arrived exactly the same. I would not recommend buying this color combination.

The included light bulb burnt out after 2 hours during first time use. No good. :-( Updated a week later. The second bulb has burnt out too. Zero stars.

Came super cloudy with greenish coloured liquid. I assume it had been jostled around quite a bit. Kept it to see if the liquid would clarify into the clear blue it’s supposed to be by cycling it on and off. After cycling about 8 times allowing the wax to melt and flow, it has helped a bit, the liquid now looking more blue but still remains mildly cloudy. The wax is also more of a yellow than green. Works as you would expect a lava lamp, just seems to have been shaken during transport. If wanting to buy a lava lamp, I would suggest to go buy in person if you can, you’ll be able to check on the cloudiness of the globe. Cloudiness update: after about 2 weeks of running the lamp and allowing it to sit, the liquid has cleared up significantly with minimal cloudiness. If you receive a cloudy globe I would say be patient with it.

It works and is very pretty

I ordered a different one from somewhere else and they kept a big chunk of purchase price to return. This company does not. I accidently wrote a wrong review so I want to make it clear that this product is exactly as described. Shipped quickly and arrived early. Works very well. Very satisfies amd will buy another for another gift.
