I learned through wearing it that it allows breathing of my bag and seal causing it to remain cooler than with the other expensive belt. This keeps sweating lower thus itching less. Overheating causes my seal to become vulnerable to leaking. I love how when I need to empty that I can just pull down on the cover off my bag then roll-it up onto itself and it is out of the way making it easier to empty.
