The AstroAI S8 Car Battery Jump Starter works great and gives real peace of mind to keep in the car. It’s compact, easy to use, and has plenty of power to start a dead battery quickly. The instructions are simple, and everything feels sturdy and well made. I love not having to rely on another vehicle for a jump anymore. Charged up fast and held the charge well too. Definitely a smart purchase and worth having for emergencies!

When I took the AstroAI S8 out of the packaging, I looked at the unit and said to myself "you're kidding me this will never work but whatev's I'll give it a try". Boy was I wrong, this jump starter nails it every time. Early am, I took my dogs to the beach, returned, opened the lift gate, the pups jumped in and that was it, out of nowhere the battery died.....literally nothing was working. Got a jump and was back on the road. Back home, left it over night same thing. Luckily, I thought this would be a good time to buy a jump starter, cause you never know. I'd been toying with it for a while and already have a tire inflator/pressure monitor as a 'just in case'. Honestly, I didn't expect this to happen again but it did. My car is only a few years old, it's a BMW X5 4.0i. The jump charger not only needs to be able to crank & spark the engine but power-up all the monitors/heads-up display/driving/safety/management/seat passenger detectors/climate/level & motion sensors and way more stuff/systems in tandem with cranking the engine. By-Jove....it can do all of it, the car starts without any hesitation. Unfortunately, from a dead battery, the default is for all the electronics to fire up at once, so there's no 'lite start' option. I was really surprised. Useability is a sinch. Plug-in the jumper cables to the AstroAI S8 unit, pop the hood, connect the cables to the vehicle contacts (a tiny green LED by the Boost button start flashing), press the 'Boost' button at the base of the cables, get behind the wheel and start the car. I couldn't tell the difference between the jump start and regular start. It can even start the car with less than 75% charge. I can expect at least 4-5 starts from the device. It charges from a standard USB port (USB A) and when it's fully topped-up it stops charging. I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I should point-out the car was jumped from designated contact points, not the battery. Also, as soon as I press the 'boost' button I can hear the car come to life and go through some sort of boot-up. By the time I get behind the wheel, my key is detected, everything is as normal and start the vehicle. There was an instance whereby the alarm went off, I just hit 'unlock' on the fob and that did the trick. On the downside, the jumper cables seem a little short (I had no problem reaching my car's contact points) and you will have no problems jumping the battery directly. Although, I've see in some vehicles the contact points are more than 18in apart, this will require some sort of extension. As a blanket synopsis: The AstroAI S8 works great, it easily starts a super systems-power hungry vehicle w. a 3.0 inline 6.

Excellent product. Works well, even on partial charge, has saved me many inconvenient/expensive jumps. Had one of these (paid twice as much) 10 years ago that got stolen. This is just as powerful at half the price. Worth having on hand (remember to charge it up fully with summer weather /not using for 3 or more months!), keep in purse or in car. You won't regret it.

Well this thing works. I have GMC Acadia, my car battery has been getting weaker and weaker when I would go to start it in the morning. The colder it gets the worse it got. I figured I try this, charge it up and keep it in my car as I knew my battery life was very limited. Sure enough all I got was clicking, my battery was dead, it was 5 degrees outside. I hooked this up to my battery, was very easy, and so much better than needing another car to jump it. I waited a minute, went to start the car and got nothing. I was nervous at this point that it didn’t work. I readjusted the positive cable as it just looked off and tried it again. The car started right up !!! I was so glad I thought ahead and got this thing. This charger is great, small enough to fit in my glove box if need. Great design and packs some power to start a pretty much completely dead battery. 5 stars for this one.

Purchased this unit over a year ago on a whim. Very impressed with its ability to start a number of different vehicles, ATV’s, a snowmobile and a couple garden tractors. I wish the clamps were a little less bulky to fit in tight spaces and they had about 12” more length in the cables. Definitely works as advertised.

Have not had to use yet, thank goodness, but knowing I have it in my car makes me feel at ease. It’s the worst when you have to ask someone to jump your car or need jumper cables and you don’t have them. This is nice and compact and seems user friendly and is not expensive.

Hands down the best product I have ever purchased. You will not regret it. No longer the days I need to chase people down in parking lots to ask for jumps! (Or call family/friends). Really, get it. It also has a built-in LED light and it acts as a power bank. The cords are short but it worked for every vehicle that needed to be jump. Can jump start multiple vehicles before needing to charge the device. My device has been not in used for a few months now and the charge is still at 100%… I recommend to charge it every couple of months tho because you never know when you’re going to need it. It’s small and compact.. easy to throw in your glove box or bag!

Wow. car battery basically was dead. completely. I got the jump starter and it was on 50%. i said lets see how good this thing is, hooked it up to my suburu battery and it started right up. its 90% lighter than my older jump box and charges via usb-c. its a winner in my book. easy to use and now ive got the peace of mind that if my battery goes out again, im covered

A compact unit that easily starts your car. Car battery went dead and started the car no issues. Had to stop on way to garage and unit started me again with 2 lights still showing as a charge level. Handy to keep in the boot to get you out of those surprise moments when your car surprises you with a flat battery. Why did you choose this product over others?: Compact and has already proven itself. Battery life: Can't fault this item started my car twice and still had some life left. Charging capability: Easy to charge and holds it's charge well. Says to charge every month to keep it topped up but.kust say forget about this and a few.months on it doesn't seem to have dropped any battery life. Car start: Started my car twice without needing to be charged Well worth the money for that reassurance should you need it and stall your car it will get you up and running again. Build quality: Well built solid unit, clear instructions and good quality clips for the battery connections. Compactness: Small but powerful. Compact and can fit in you glove box or boot.

Acheté pour faire démarrer une batterie sur une 308 Diesel (de 2012), ça fonctionne parfaitement. J'avais une crainte pour pouvoir trouver un endroit pour mettre la masse car le câble est très court et sur ce modèle de 308, la masse de la batterie n'est pas accessible (seulement le plus), mais impeccable, j'ai pu trouver vers le capot de quoi mettre la pince noire sur la carrosserie pour faire masse. Et démarrage du premier coup 👍

I got it to help jumpstart my VW PASSAT V6 as the battery was completely drained while the car was parked for ~ 2 months. The unit was at 50% battery when received. The manual is great, simple and straight forward. I followed the instructions in the manual. It took approx. 1 hour to charge it via my phone's USB-C fast charger up to 100%. It took 2 attempts to start the car. The 2nd attempt was because I didn't wait the 30 seconds as per the manual's instruction in handling completely drained batteries in my 1st attempt. On the 2nd attempt, I followed the instructions for completely drained batteries and the car started smoothly. Both attempts used ~25% of the booster battery capacity. Over all, the package is great in size and weight. I like the idea it came with a small bag to house the booster and cables. The booster uses USB-C for charging. No more jump start cable hassle and no more waiting forever for insurance recovery.

The AstroAI S8 worked perfectly the first time I used it to jump-start my car, and I was impressed with how easy it was to use. However, I can’t say much about long-term performance since this isn’t a product you use regularly. Aside from the built-in flashlight, it mostly sits unused until a battery emergency happens. Realistically, I’ll probably only need it once a year—or even less if I replace my car battery on time. Overall, it’s a reliable tool when you need it, but not something that offers everyday usefulness.
