Really glad to have find these affordable and completely natural pillows. I don't mind the smell like some seem to complain about. It smells like wool and to be honest it smells a lot better than the duck down pillows I've had when you get them. These pillows are also a lot more bouncy and have kept their bounce for at least over a week since I've been using them, again much better than the down pillows I used to use. I haven't washed them yet so not sure if they will become lumpy after but so far I'm very happy with them.

Very firm, I was expecting some give in them. But comfortable

I’ve got far too many spinal ‘discrepancies’ and getting a decent nights sleep with a great pillow has been so elusive for far too long. I’ve tried every kind of natural pillows (I can’t use anything with polyester filling in) with continued pain and discomfort. I decided to try this wool pillow (in my continuing search for the perfect one) and I am so very very pleased that I did. It’s supportive without being like a brick. It says it’s suitable for back and side sleepers but I always fall asleep on my front and I’m able to with this pillow. I find that it’s a quality natural pillow that gives me adequate support without being too firm. Upon receipt of it I removed the plastic bag and left it for two days and there was no smell whatsoever. If you have struggled to find the perfect pillow that supports perfectly but isn’t a brick then try this one.

This is a lovely quality wool filled pillow. It is supremely comfortable and has not flattened at all in at least 6 months. Great value. Highly Recommended ⭐️

Lovely pillow but has dipped in middle so needs a good plumping every day

After reading the Which? review and the product description here on Amazon, it is strongly implied that these pillows are suitable for side sleepers. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience at all. Three different adults — all side sleepers of different builds and heights — have now tried these pillows, and none of us were able to get a comfortable night’s sleep. At almost 20cm in height, they are simply too thick for side sleeping. Despite being labelled as “medium support”, we would describe them as firm. They are dense, hold their shape, and do not compress in the way feather pillows do. For anyone expecting a softer or more adaptive pillow, this may come as a surprise. I had specifically hoped these would suit a side sleeper who is allergic to feathers, as they are marketed as hypoallergenic. Sadly, the loft and firmness make them unsuitable for that purpose. It is particularly disappointing as I am keen to support UK-made and more sustainable products. However, these only appear to be available in “medium support”, with no lower-loft alternative. I aired the pillows like instructed and it removed a lot of that 'sheepy smell' that others have referred to, when plumping the pillows you can still smell it which is not a problem for us, but wanted to mention it because I appreciate it can really disturb some people. I contacted Slumberdown to request a return, but was informed this was not possible due to hygiene reasons. While I understand the principle, many bedding and mattress companies now offer trial periods or returns, so this response was surprising given the product’s description did not match our experience.

They smell like you’re sleeping with sheep. Bought these on 29/9/25 and it’s now 14/11/25 and they still smell even after being aired outside on numerous occasion's. It’s a shame because they are so comfortable. It would have been 5 stars if I could get rid of the smell. I have persisted with them because I get such a good nights sleep, I just have the smell of sheep as I count them now 😂. Luckily I had a relative who was a shepherd and they liked them 🤭
