Basically this is an Oreck clone, at a much better price. Unlike most Oreck clones, it's a copy of modern high power Orecks, not the old fashioned Classic Orecks that just pickup surface dirt. Our house has a good variety of flooring, flat commercial carpet in the hall, low pile in one bedroom, soft plush in another bedroom, medium pile in the last bedroom, medium-high in the living room, and loose laid sheet vinyl in the kitchen. The living room and soft plush in one bedroom can be problem carpets for some vacuums, stalling brushrolls and/or making a vacuum nearly impossible to push. The Vacmaster did well in every room, I used high speed on every carpet and it never stalled, wasn't difficult to push, and the reverse chevron brushroll did a surprisingly good job digging out pet hair and dirt, and fluffing/grooming the carpets. The edge cleaning was adequate, but not amazing, I've seen better and I've seen worse. Low speed did well on the sheet vinyl. The squeegee kept anything from kicking back at my feet, and the pickup was good without the suction being high enough to "grab" the vinyl, which has been a problem in the past. It's no Kirby, but it's no old fashioned Classic Oreck either. Classic Orecks absolutely lock to our problem carpets, the Vacmaster practically glided over them. The grooming and pickup is impressive, especially for something so cheap and so lightweight. It's not all roses, the plastics used are obviously on the cheaper side, the cord is cheap and stiff, and the headlight could be brighter, but for the price, those things aren't really surprising. End of the day, it's a lightweight, well performing, basic bagged upright, with no hose or attachments, at a bargain price. That's a rarity these days. Add a Dustbuster or cheap canister vacuum for furniture and above floor cleaning, and you are set for years of easy quick easy cleaning.

Save the box and packaging until after you give it a go. Suction is great. Cord is long. Handle pops out of place and continuously pulls out, so no more vacuuming until you pop the joint back in and pop it into place. This is what you have to do the entire time you vacuum and my apt is 667 square feet. If it's annoying for me it will be for you too. It has to be a design flaw or maybe a manufacturing flaw. Or maybe just luck of the draw. Anyway, my handle doesn't fit in its connecting joint, so it's going back.

DANGER!! Do not buy this vacuum I know that it's cheap but cheap is the word here it is built so cheap and after running it a while it gets too hot it shuts off which is after only 5 minutes which leads me to believe it could start a fire!! very scary

2 power settings, easy to assemble no tools required. Very powerful and pulls out ground in debris. Great on hardwood floors as well as carpet. it does have a floor sweep made of rubber on the bottom of the power head for hardwood floors. That definitely needs a upgrade because it does crack the rubber fairly easy. it is very similar to a windshield wiper 🤔💡

Had a Hoover upright that lasted nearly 40 years and wanted a replacement that wasn’t battery operated and that would work well on carpeted and hardwood floors. Pros: Works on hardwood and carpeted flooring. Suction works nice. The swivel head is a nice feature. The light is handy. Wanted a bagged vacuum, because I prefer tossing the bag when its full, rather than emptying a holder with every use. The vacuum is light weight. Price is reasonable. Cons: Cord is cheap and does not flex well. Head is too narrow and should be an extra 1-2 inches on each side. Can’t run the vacuum under counters, will need to reach with the attachments. Hose is too short. An extra length of tubing would be great. Can not get under furniture. An extra length of tubing and an attachment would be ideal. I gave 4 stars because I replaced an older upright vacuum and this vacuum does hardwood and carpet and is similar to my old Hoover. It works similar to my old vacuum, I never run out of battery power and I can toss the bag when it’s full. All the items listed under cons would make a better vacuum, but might add to the weight and cost of the unit. This is a good little vacuum for the price and I would purchase again.

This is an EXCELLENT vacuum! I think its the best vacuum at this price point, and even much higher. It arrived well packaged and was a snap to put together. Its like this machine was designed by someone who has actually used a vacuum before. It has a VERY long cord, so you arent constantly pulling the plug out of the wall and having to re-plug it in elsewhere. YAY! The filtration system is excellent, and the bags even have a rubber gasket seal so no dust can escape. That's right, it is NOT a bagless machine, and I'm thrilled about that. I HATE emptying those bagless models (so gross!). This vac has a feature that lets you release the full bag right into the trash without ever touching it (sa-WEET!) It has an indicator light that tells you when the bag is full, so you don't have to open it to check if it's time for a new bag. The bags are not made of delicate paper, they feel more like a non-woven fabric that prevents dust from escaping. Marvelous! It has a switch that turns off the rotating brush bar when cleaning hard floors or using the accessories. Actually, it has a nifty single accessory that EASILY converts from a crevice tool to a brush or an upholstery tool, so you don't have to keep swapping out one tool for another or worry about a tool getting lost. It stores right on the unit, snugly, and doesn't fall off constantly as you vacuum. It's very easy to switch to attachment mode (or above floor cleaning) by releasing the vacuum hose and clicking it in place on the wand. The wand releases easily and you're in business. It's just as easy to return to floor cleaning too. It has a very bright light, which you don't always see on a vacuum at this price. The suction power this vacuum has is fabulous! I haven't had it long to tell if it stays fabulous, but I think it will, because the machine has an indicator that tells you if you're not getting good air flow, so you know if you need to clean the filters or check for clogs or clear obstructions. It also has a little slide you can open to reduce the suction a bit if you need to, like when you're cleaning a smaller rug. The machine steers almost too easily, and it takes some getting used to as it will change direction with a slight turn of your wrist, like a ball type of vacuum, much easier than my old upright unit. The noise level is about the same any vacuum, not louder, not quieter, as far as I can tell. It does have a surprisingly narrow cleaning path, BUT, it cleans so well and steers so easily that it doesn't seem to matter! It fits between things much better I must say, and it goes pretty low, too, for getting underneath furniture. It's a breeze to use, even with the narrow cleaning path. If you have miles and miles of carpet in your home, it might be a factor, but I find that the machine is so physically easy to use and performs so well, and adapts so easily to my different needs that I don't really notice that. I'm finished vacuuming in a flash. I'm really pleased with this machine. Now only time will tell if it lasts me as long as a vacuum should, but I have high hopes. It seems VERY sturdy, and so well engineered. All the latches and connections are sturdy and sound, and the plastic feels strong and of good quality, not flimsy and cheap. It's a pretty dark teal color that I really like, too. Even the little things count, right? A great purchase so far!

This does not have hoses!!! So I watched the video and read the reviews and not one time did it show it didn’t have hoses! Husband put it together and did a test run before I ever got home so after a couple of days I go to use it and realize there aren’t any hoses, who doesn’t use the accessories with hose especially in a commercial setting which this vac was compared to! I gave it 3 stars because it did vacuum good but the bag clasp was hard to open and of course it doesn’t have hoses! Then we couldn’t get apart without breaking it to return it! I ended up carrying it to my mother’s house, she has no animals or any real reason to need crevices cleaned out like we do! Also , it’s loud!

I have a small apartment, mostly bare floor with a couple area rugs & I usually prefer a canister vac for the versatility, but this compact upright checks the important boxes for me. The best part is it has 2 motors, 1 in body & 1 in head. That means no lame floor/ rug tab that you press on the floor cleaning tool to go from floor to rug. This actually has a motorized brush to clean your carpet & rugs. Also has a small, short hose you can disconnect & attach tools to for above floor cleaning. Suction is great, but doesn't grab your rug off the floor. Easily assembled, all plastic..just hope handle won't break off like some review said..I try not to be rough with it.
