New Balance Men's MX409 Cross-Training Shoe

Before purchasing these shoes I read a number of reviews in Amazon that correctly stated that New Balance shoes are often too small when ordering US sizes. I found this to be true. Shoes made in America tend to fit me well in the size 11 W size. I took the advise and ordered a full size larger (Size 12 4E) and they fit perfect. It certainly would be good business practice if New Balance would take to the time to insure all the NB factories put out the same uniform sizes in lieu of having such a wide range of size discrepancies based on Country of origin where they are made. Of course, this would require ALL shoe manufactures to get together and come-up with a world-wide standard. Sure would save a lot of hassle if they would. As far as these MX409's are concerned, the materials they are constructed with are of good to excellent quality and the stitching and design are superior. The cushioning/inner padding is excellent for a shoe of this price. My intention is to use these shoes in the gym (stair climber/treadmill). As they are too new to for me to give any further review on I will follow-up after I've used them for a couple of months. I did encounter a shipping problem when ordered from Amazon. The original order was "lost in transit" and never made it to my residence. I logged-on to Amazon and chatted with Amazon Service regarding the lost shipment. Amazon Service promptly sent a new order via overnight express to replace the originals. I am VERY PLEASED with Amazon Service Department for their prompt resolution of my lost shipment.

I am a female who struggles with buying women's shoes that fit properly because of my wide feet. I have to buy 4E (which is hard to find in women's shoes). These shoes are VERY comfortable and long lasting. The shoe design is feminine enough that nobody notices that I am wearing shoes actually designed for guys. They're wide enough for my feet and narrow enough for the heel to fit comfortably. I also have wide ankles (I am obese) and the shoes don't rub my ankles or cause problems. My ankles can roll/turn easily but I have never sprained or rolled my ankles in these shoes because the ankle cushion is high enough to provide good support. I purchased a white pair 3 years ago and I used them every day, all day. They never busted out, they're just worn out and look ugly now =) I have stood all day in these shoes and at the end of the day, my feet, legs and knees feel only slightly fatigued, but not bad at all considering the weight I am carrying. They have great shock absorption and provide plenty of support which is a must for someone like me who is overweight and whose ankles can turn easily. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend you try this shoe if you are obese, have really wide feet, have weak ankles, and have to stand on your feet all day.

My husband was in need of some new shoes, and he always relies on new balance for his work shoes because of their fit, the comfort, and the wide shoe fits him well. He works in a manufacturing plant and is on his feet all day. My husband is also really hard on shoes, has super flat feet, and they are wide. So he needs a shoe that can take a beating. New balance makes several shoes that are strong at the base of the shoe, like a hiking shoe would be, and they are thicker so my husband gets more wear out of them. The black color is nice, and doesn't show so much dirt, like his brown ones do. This is a nice looking shoe. These are very comfortable shoes, and he is very happy with them. The price is fair, and I like that if they don't fit, amazon will return them quickly and that makes life easy for us! These shoes are not leather, but they seem to hold up like leather ones do, We have tried shoes from wally and those just don't last very long. We go back to the NB every time. So if you are hard on shoes, are on your feet all day, or have wide feet, this is a good shoe.

My husband wears a 4E in shoes but is only an 11.5, so as you can imagine, shoes can be hard to find. We have found that New Balance's 4E shoes always fit him like a glove. The last pair of New Balance Cross-Training Shoes he bought lasted him 2 years on New York City pavement before they finally just disintegrated. I like the quality and craftsmanship that goes into New Balance shoes and my husband loves the wide width that fits him perfectly. He says that these shoes are super-comfortable, have excellent arch support (he also has low arches and his ankles roll in) and his feet feel great in them. We find that New Balance shoes are always true to size across different shoe models. This is an excellent value for these shoes and my husband looks great in them. Thanks, New Balance!

i love the shoes and have worn new ballance for the last 10 years or so. i have always worn 10 and 1/2 US size. thats what i ordered. when they got here i tried them on. they were small. i sent the order back using the return slip i printed off the site. then i reordered them in size 11. they should be here sometime this week. other than that i order alot of different things from amazon and have always been happy with the quality, selection, price and easy to use website. please keep doing what your doing. your prices always beat walmart and almost anywhere else on the internet that i can find.
