Sonic Superstars (Xbox Series X) (Includes Comic Style Character Skins - Exclusive to Amazon.co.uk)

Brand new, as advertised. This came with Dr Robotnik and Comic DLC. Very happy with this purchase, and is a welcome addition to my ever growing SEGA collection. :) I always believed that future games would ride on the coat tails of Sonic Unleashed (and its amazing Hedgehog Engine!), and I have not been proven wrong. Generations used the fast gameplay, and Superstars does the same, using the same sound FX, and updated visuals for current gen. I really like some of the new mechanics, especially with Amy! The insert/cover is reversible, see photos. The only downside, is the waste of space on the disc. Installation took 2.2GB of space from the disc, and an update/patch that was over 9GB. SEGA, When you go to the press to make physical discs, please make sure the majority of the finished product is on the disc image, FIRST. It would be much appreciated. The point to physical, is to save on download time and data usage, while always reminding buyers, that they own a copy of the game. Downloads become forgotten quickly over time, so it's great to see something on the shelf.

Good game, kept the kids entertained

I’ve always been a fan of Sonic The Hedgehog since the very first game of the series was released way back in 1991. The best game and fun for all the family.

Awesome game

I’ve always been a fan of Sega and especially the sonic games but unfortunately sonic superstars doesn’t really live up to the name. It’s more of an arcade style sonic game rather than the classic sonic game that we’re all familiar of. Yes it’s decent but I was expecting better from an iconic brand but I can’t complain about the price tho at £13. Overall the game alright .

Sonic Superstars follows the highly successful Sonic Mania as the next 2D Sonic, and while I wouldn't call it bad... there's nothing here that warrants a full £50 game when Mania was half that price on launch (and can be found for even cheaper now). Give it a couple of months and just like Frontiers this will likely be at a much lower price. In the meantime if you haven't played Mania, pick that up instead - I find it a lot more fun than this one in most aspects, and you can get it for as cheap as £16.
