Pemko S88BL20, Black

Bought this for my gun cabinet. It seals well keeps dust out and helps keep the moisture down.

Worked like a charm to seal the gap allowing air to come in from the hall in my apartment door! I used it to add to the existing strip that was completely ineffective and would have allowed me to die of smoke inhalation if there ever a fire in my building!

we use this on our guest room doors at work. It’s perfect.

I have not used the weatherstripping yet, but it looks like a very nice product. I purchased it to use as insulation for indoor window inserts. For that purpose, it won't be large enough. When I try it for doors, the purpose for which it's intended, I'll update my review.

Bought this to help seal up my safe to keep moisture out. Wish it was a little thicker, but it seems to seal good enough. Double sided tape sticks well. Pull off the tape backing as you apply it. This roll was enough for a 48 gun safe. Now I don't have to recharge my dehumidifiers as often. Only a few days in graphing humidity with my smart home sensors, I can tell an improvement!

My use for this S88 seal was to be in a steel frame door installation. The seal came rolled/coiled in its original packaging. One end of it, about 4 feet, was substantially kinked and deformed from the coiling. The rest of it wasn't too bad. I hung it for weeks prior to using it, thinking it would relax back to normal, but it did not change. The major disappointment, and the reason for reduced stars, was that the bulb portion of the seal was not 1/4-inch as it states in Pemko specs. The most it would seal was up to 3/16-inch, and that's being generous. One part of the door perimeter needed the 1/4-inch, so this seal wasn't going to work for at least that edge. Another gap I had varied from 1/8 to 3/16 from one end to the other, and I just wasn't satisfied with the engagement of the seal at the 3/16 end. I think this S88 seal would've be fine if the gaps in my door/frame were a consistent 1/8-inch. I ended up removing it and applying Pemko 773 instead, which was far better for my application.
