I am so impressed with this PALONE Solar Bug Zapper! It has been perfect for summer nights when mosquitoes and bugs are everywhere. It works quickly and effectively, helping keep my patio, yard, and outdoor spaces much more comfortable. I love that it is solar-powered, so I don’t have to worry about constantly plugging it in or changing batteries. It charges during the day and is ready to go at night. The light is bright, and the zapper does an excellent job attracting and eliminating bugs. It’s also great that it can be used both outdoors and indoors, making it very versatile. The design is easy to use, durable, and convenient. If you want to enjoy summer evenings without being bothered by bugs, this is definitely worth it!

The zapper works but the charging panel no longer charges the unit even after a full day's exposure to sunlight. You can still charge the zapper via USB port but the solar functionality is busted after just a couple months use.

I’m extremely impressed with this PALONE Solar Bug Zapper! It works wonderfully both indoors and outdoors, and it has made a huge difference on our patio during the evenings. The 4500V power is no joke — mosquitoes, gnats, and moths disappear fast once they get near the UV light. One of my favorite features is the solar charging option. I love being able to leave it outside during the day and have it ready to go at night without worrying about batteries. The Type-C charging is also super convenient for quick recharging indoors. It feels very versatile and thoughtfully designed. It definitely keeps the bugs at bay when we are outside enjoying the evening! The zapper is lightweight, portable, and surprisingly quiet except for the satisfying zap when it catches bugs. It’s also easy to clean and seems very durable. The solar panel provided does not have the mounting holes shown in all of the images. The solar cells go right to the edge of the panel. There are no mounting options provided. I've only had it for 1 night, and it was not placed outside where it was intended due to the lack of mounting options, so I can only give a basic review of the rest of its functionality. It turns on and seems to function fine. It did kill at least 1 mosquito. I like the built in scraper for cleaning, though have not had enough build up to test how well it works. My usual method of cleaning these is a leaf blower, but if there was a storm and it got wet, then that is not always enough, and this might be useful. The battery seems decent and lasted for several hours, though I did not time exactly how long. Compared to the other solar zapper I bought at the same time, these are not as bright, though that is not as important since the light is not the main way to attract mosquitoes, which are what we want these for.

I rarely write reviews, but feel I need to for this one. This bug zapper worked really well for 3-4 weeks. In central Texas we were having an unusual influx of crane flies (which I wouldn't have been able to identify before that.) We had so many, it was a nuisance! And we were getting ready to host a baby large shower, so I was attempting to get rid of them. They liked our garage, because I had several outdoor plants in there, protecting them from being covered with oak pollen. So when I received the zapper, I promptly charged it with the included USB cable and left it on in the garage overnight. I must have had 20-30 dead crane flies in the trap in the morning!! Success!! So after that, I would leave it on our doorstep or back patio at night, and every morning, I would have multiple flies and other bugs in there. Here's the trick. To get the bugs all out of the trap, you can easily open the cap on the bottom and most of them fall out. (Do this outside or over a trash can.) You can try to get the remaining stuck bugs out using the little ring that slides up and down from handle that sticks out underneath. But I still had bugs stuck in mine. So I would gently tap the trap on the sidewalk, which helped to get the rest out. But I think this gentle tapping must have dislodged the charging port inside. (And I WAS gentle, as I was enjoying the fruits of my labor and wanted the device to last, even though it was clearly not super heavy duty.) But last night I was trying to plug the cable in, and it wouldn't engage. When I looked at the charging port, it had slid over to the side inside the casing and was no longer accessible. Obviously it was barely secured in place, or it would have stayed put. A little glue would have anchored it better than it was. So I'm sadly returning the product, because I'm very disappointed in the quality. If you do get it, it will probably work for a while, but may not work long, depending on how much you baby it. (FYI- I can't comment on the solar portion, because I never used that.)

Great price, light weight, I don't hear any noise from it other than a bug getting zapped,light isn't over powering, quality seems to be good very, durable.

As the title suggests, I've been using it for a couple of weeks without any issues. It's water-resistant and has long-lasting batteries. After a hot, sunny day, with a full charge, this zapper can run continuously for 8-9 hours overnight.

Dieses Jahr hat es bei uns durch das Hochwasser und langanhaltenden Niederschlag richtig viele Schnaken, Stechmücken und Bremsen. Ich war lange gegen diese Insektenvernichter, dieses Jahr war es aber vorbei damit. Ich habe explizit nach einem mit eingebautem Akku gesucht um diesen auch beim Campen ohne Steckdose nutzen zu können. Sogar eine Solarzelle ist hier mit dabei, quasi perfekt! Dieser hier erschien mir aufgrund des großen Akkus ganz gut und ich habe deswegen umgehend bestellt. Pünktlich zu unserer ersten Reise mit dem Dachzelt kam das Paket an und wir konnten es noch vor Abreise ausprobieren. Es funktioniert sehr einfach: Durch das Licht werden die Plagegeister angezogen, fliegen rein und werden durch eine hohe Spannung (hier laut Angabe 4500V) sofort vernichtet. So einfach wie genial. Wir haben das Licht mal eine Stunde bei uns im Wohnzimmer brennen lassen und in dieser kurzen Zeit befanden sich schon viele Insekten im Auffangbehälter des Geräts. Sehr effizient! Wir hatten den Insektenvernichter bei unserem einwöchigen Trip mit dem Dachzelt dabei und es hat uns sehr gute Dienste geleistet. Die Akkulaufzeit überzeugt und am nächsten Tag wird der Akku wieder mit der mitgelieferten Solarzelle aufgeladen. Man muss sich um nichts kümmern. Durch den Bügel kann er bequem auch überall hingehängt werden. Die beste Lösung um Insekten fernzuhalten bzw. direkt zu vernichten, wir sind damit echt zufrieden!

J’ai acheté cette lanterne extérieur avec rechargement solaire pour éradiquer les moustiques indésirables en soirée. En effet cette lanterne se recharge le jour via son panneau solaire déporté et une fonction interrupteur à trois positions permet de soit éteindre la lampe par sa position du milieu ou soit que celle ci s’allume la nuit et la troisième position permet un allumage continuel . Pour ma part j’ai choisi un allumage de nuit pour plus d’efficacité. La lumière bleue attire efficacement les moustiques et ceux ci sont grillés instantanément au contact des grilles. La lanterne s’accroche facilement en hauteur et le câble du panneau solaire est assez long pour une bonne déportation. Une lumière rouge sous la lampe s’allume pour indiquer une bonne recharge via le panneau solaire. Je suis très satisfait de cette anti moustique et pour le prix la qualité est vraiment au rendez-vous.
