Through two baby girls, I have learned that Gerber brand does run on the small size so I ordered a size larger than what my baby is currently wearing (she wears mostly 12 month clothes, so I ordered 18 month size) and they fit just like I thought they would. These pj's are very soft and stretchy. However, babies with chubby arms, will not fit into the long sleeve tops. My older daughter was a chubby baby and all long sleeve pj's were too tight on her (not just Gerber brand). I am aware that pj's are supposed to fit snugly, but not that snug.My second daughter (currently 11.5 months, whom I bought these pj's for) is a very long lean baby with a very tiny waist. The tops in these sets fit perfectly (size 18 months), and the bottoms are the perfect length, but the waist is an odd size. The waist is the same size if not a little bigger than the hips, which I noticed right away looked weird, but I thought maybe they would fit ok over a diaper wearing baby bum. Not so much. She literally crawled right out of them...lol. Lucky for me, I have a friend who's a seamstress so I had her "alter" them.The colors are bright and beautiful and the material is so very soft. They are super cute but are inferior quality to Carter's pajamas. They are thinner than Carter's and stretch out during the first wear (I usually have her wear pjs two nights in a row if they stay clean during the night). I guess the thinness of them is ok if your baby tends to be warm, I'm jist used to the thicker material of Carter's clothing.
