One of our three heat pumps stopped cooling on Saturday afternoon. The condenser unit fan was running along with the air handler, but the compressor on the condenser unit was not kicking on. I cut power, checked the capacitor with a meter, and determined it needed replacement. Matched up the capacitor size (30+5 MFD) and ordered this product from Amazon. It arrived on Sunday shortly after noon, and I installed the new capacitor later in the day. Restored power to the unit, which is running great and cooling again. This particular unit is a Bryant 1.5-ton heat pump split system. The new capacitor looks great and well-made, arrived quickly, and is working great. I would recommend it to others. The price is great as well, for under $20. It saved me about $300, which is about what I paid an HVAC company a few years ago to diagnose the problem and replace a capacitor on one of our other heat pumps.

My outside AC unit made a shrieking sound like it was about to explode in the middle of a hot night. I quickly shut it off and looked for a solution the next day. After watching many YouTube videos, I pinpointed the issue to be a broken capacitor (low current to the fan motor, so my fan didn't spin, causing pressure to build up). However, when I took out my old capacitor, I found it so rusted that I couldn't read the MFD and voltage info from it. Fortunately, I found the model number and manufacturer on the side of the outside unit. After some internet searching, I determined the MFD for the fan motor and compressor to be 5 and 30. My AC model uses 370VAC, and the replacement can be used for both 370VAC and 400VAC. I ordered the replacement with one-day shipping. The new capacitor was the same size as the old one with 3 prongs on top (common, herm, fan). I labeled the wires before removing the old rusted one, and it took me just 5 minutes to install the new one and reconnect the wires. It works like a charm! I saved myself hundreds of dollars. The repair itself is super easy and only requires a screwdriver to remove the panel and a pair of needle-nose pliers to detach the wires from the terminal (or you can use a eyebrow tweezer to do it).

The ac stopped working and we were thinking to buy a new motor. The store close to my house didn't want to sell us the motor because we had no membership even that we went there with an hvac professional. We were advised at the store to buy from Amazon! We bought this on Amazon and the AC is running for 3 months now!

It came in an actual branded box and looked to be of decent build quality. Our old unit needed this part replaced and for the price I gave it a shot. It’s been in the 90s and even had a couple of 100 degree days since I have installed it. So far my air conditioner has been running great. It was very easy to install thanks to everything being clearly marked. Absolutely no complaints.

Capacitor blew up on my fifth wheel's rooftop AC unit a week before my trip. Pulled it apart to find the melted, cheapy plastic cased capacitor they used, bought this one, and plopped it in. Works beautifully and ran for an entire 5 week expedition in my fifth wheel without incident.
