It comes with BOTH J-hooks and spotter arms!
I spent a long time reading reviews and carefully deciding which rack was right for me, because I knew returning it would be almost impossible. I went with this one and I think I made the right choice. This is a solid rack. It's high quality and looks nice. I chose this one for its compact design, the fact that it has both a pull-up bar and bars for doing dips, hooks to store two barbells and ample storage space for weight plates. It also comes with both J-hooks and spotter arms. I noticed that some of the racks in this price range didn't come with spotter arms. They have to be purchased separately. As a bonus the J-hooks and spotter arms have a thick rubber padding so the barbell isn't hitting metal on metal when you put it down. The shipping was fast and the box wasn't missing any parts. The box is pretty big - see my picture of it next to a standard door frame. It weighs over 100 lbs. It took about two and a half hours to assemble the rack. Just pay attention when assembling the curved brackets that store the weight plates. You can store the weights on either the outside or on the inside of the frame depending on how you install these. The only thing I don't like is the dip bars might be a little wider apart than I would like them to be, but it's not a deal-breaker. I bought it with the $40 off coupon. There are other racks out there that use heavier gauge metal and have more options, but for the price it's a great deal and I believe worthy of a five star rating.

Great, inexpensive compact cage/weight rack
The cage was shipped and arrived quickly. After unboxing I was able to put it together myself (5’2” 130lb female.) It feels sturdy and I’m happy with it. I purchased the bench, barbel and weights separately. The cage was inexpensive, but great quality. Would recommend. It easily fits in my bedroom that was converted into a home gym. I love that it doesn’t take up a lot of space, but offers a lot of features.

Excellent Half Power Rack for $200 - great value
Buyers - Be Aware that this SunHome rack arrives in TWO (2) boxes. One is long (2' x 7) and the other is smaller and square (2' x 2'). Be patient....Amazon, UPS or FedEx may deliver one box on one day, and the second box a day or two later. My smaller, shorter box showed up two days later via UPS.....so wait a few days before reaching out to Amazon. I was looking for something for my apartment that required an overall smaller footprint. I'm very, very happy with this purchase at $200. Understand what you're purchasing versus what you're not purchasing for racks or half racks at $1,000 or more....the gauge of steel is slightly thinner and lighter (to keep costs down) so this SunHome half rack is not designed for the heavy-stronger lifter. But for someone who benches no more than 300+ or squats no more than 450-500? Sure, this works great and does not take up alot of footprint. Also, you are not going to get the wide range of options and accessories for this half rack, such as lat pulldown or low rows pulleys....nor the full safety of lifting in a full rack. But you do have bars above and below if you want to add various resistance bands/tubing. But if you're only looking for a half rack for barbell work? Yes - this is great. Also - the storage pegs on the side of the rack are shorter and use only one (1) screw/rod.....so do NOT expect to load 4-6 45# plates on the storage pegs. Understand that this rack is better suited for beginners and those that simply do not lift alot of weight. I'm buying another one for my two teenage boys at their mom's house in the basement. It doesn't take up alot of room, but with a good adjustable bench and good set of adjustable dumbbells, they can certainly get plenty of work in. All of my pieces match up just fine, but I do not fully tighten all of the bolts/nuts until everything has been about 50-75% tighten and assembled.....then I go back and tighten everything up. Some parts and pieces may need a little adjustment to get the bolts slotted properly. CONS: I wish Sun Home would increase the price another $25-50 and add two more weight plate storage posts to each side of the rack (a total of four per side). I wish SunHome would re-design how the dip bars lock into the side uprights.....meaning I wish I could adjust the dip bars up and down the rack. By placing the dip bars lower on the rack, I (or my kids) can do bench dips as I develop more upper arm strength. And lastly, I wish SunHome would eventually move from the 1/2" hole diameters in the uprights to the next slightly larger/wider diameter holes (5/8"). In case I want to swap out J hooks or safety bars or add additional accessories, it's alot easier to find products with the 5/8" holes than the smaller 1/2" holes. And lastly, I wish SunHome would add one or two smaller pegs on the lower floor bar so that I can loop resistance bands around these pegs to add more resistance to my squats and bench press.....not a big expensive costs to SunHome, but would add more variety and options to this rack. (my two cents). But if you're looking for a great half rack at a tremendous value? I think you'll be extremely happy with this product.

A great gym rack
This is a great piece of equipment. It was a struggle to carry the box into my apartment. Use a dolly if you have to transport it somewhere. Assembly took some time. I highly recommend a socket wrench / ratchet (I believe it's something like 17mm bolts). That will save you half the assembly time. Some of the pieces labeled right (R) or left (L) are labeled incorrectly. I triple checked and assembled the whole thing to confirm this. So, be very cognizant of which pieces are assymetrical and make sure you're following the blueprint. Exactly enough nuts, bolts, and washers were included in my kit. Not 1 missing or extra. Finally, it works well. So far so good. The dip bars are slightly wider than you'd expect and I don't love that. There's also no place to store them on the rack when you're not using them. I just toss them on the floor nearby. EDIT: There's actually a hole near the bottom of the rack that you can stick these on. Overall I'm 100% satisfied with this product.

Happy with our purchase!
This squat rack is exactly what we wanted. I researched a lot of different racks online and happy we settled on this one. We had limited space in our garage for a rack, and wanted a rack we could move if needed. It was fairly easy to put together and looks great when it’s done. I am very happy with the quality for the price. It is sturdy, especially when weights are put on the holders to weigh it down. If you are lifting extremely heavy you may want a higher end rack. But for someone normally lifting under 200 lbs like me this should work well. The holders for the weights and barbell keep the workout area organized and safe. And the pull-up bar and dip attachments are a plus. We would highly recommend this rack.

Solid Home Gym Rack
I love this product. I bought it due to its weight capacity, storage, adjustability, dip bar, and multi-position pull up bar. I’ve used this for a few month in my home gym and it performs as expected. I store about 300lbs of Olympic plates on it and have room for more when I need more. It does move slightly when re-rack after squats but since I’m not 100% certain of my final gym layout, I’ve not bolted it to the ground. When I do that I expect it wont move at all. Keep in mind that I am not a power lifter but lift for fitness and functional strength. The one thing missing on this rack was a hook for my battle rope. You will see I’ve welded a hook to the lower front bar. I could have bolted it in by drilling some holes and purchasing bolts but I like welding and thought it would be a good test to the quality of the steel. I was able to weld it without burning through. It’s solid. All and all, I expect this rack will last as long as I need it. It’s solid for my fitness needs, has great options, was easy to assemble, is easy to adjust while working out, and I recommend it.

Highly recommend for small home gyms
For the price this can't be beat. Compact, sturdy and easy to build with one person.

The perfect piece to start your home gym
I am SO happy with this rack! It is relatively inexpensive, but the quality is really good! Sure, it’s not built to handle commercial gym traffic, but for me, it is perfect! It’s set up in my garage with 8 foot ceilings. I am 5’8” tall and I have never come close to hitting my head at the top of a pull up. And the bar height Is absolutely perfect for me! This is by far my favorite purchase of 2024 because it has enabled me to reclaim some of my health and strength!! I absolutely love the pullup bars! Look around… it’s really hard to find a decent half rack with a nice set of multi grip bars… and these are perfect! I use all of the variations. And I like the dip bars too! They are padded just enough to be comfortable on the hands and even soft enough to support myself on my forearms and do leg lifts. Once you have weight on the rack (I have a 280 lb bumper set), it does not really move around. But even before I had weights on it, the rack is sturdy enough that I was always satisfied. It does have holes at each corner leg to bolt it to the floor (hardware for that not included), but for me this would be overkill and not necessary. If you ever want to move this rack, just take all the weights and accessories off, and it’s not that heavy to simply pick up or slide around. I also use the barbell hanging hooks that are included: one holds a barbell and the other I hang belts and bands from. The posts that hold the plate weights are interesting. They are 1” diameter metal posts, but you can slip a 2” diameter plastic sleeve over it to accommodate Olympic standard plates. I was skeptical at first of these posts but they are holding my 2” weights no problem, and so far up to 95 lbs per post with no visible bending or damage of any components. So yeah, functional storage on this baby too! My barbell knurling does scratch off the red paint of the j-hooks, but I just try not to bump them too hard and who cares anyway. In summary, you should buy this and start busting out some sets.
